Completing the five-series card run

The fifth, orange-border Star Wars series ends the original Topps sequence. Its 66 numbered cards run from 265 through 330, while stickers 45 through 55 finish the distinct sticker numbering. Across all five series, the original U.S. program therefore comprises 330 numbered card subjects and 55 sticker identities. The orange cards are not a separate numbered base beginning again at one.

Production stills as collectible subjects

Beyond familiar film moments, the orange-border checklist includes behind-the-scenes imagery. Card 329 features Alec Guinness with George Lucas, and card 330 describes filming Luke and Threepio in Tunisia. These photographs differ from in-universe character portraits and help explain the later series' subject selection. A buyer should match the exact caption and number, rather than searching only by the actor or character name.

Movie facts and one larger puzzle

The credited collection gallery reports that 22 numbered-card reverses contain movie facts and 44 are pieces of one larger horizontal image. The image relates to a scene also represented on card 284. Those 44 puzzle pieces are the back sides of existing cards, not an additional numbered insert checklist. A proper front/back comparison should use the same physical card number.

The final eleven sticker numbers

The eleven stickers in this installment carry codes 45 through 55. Their images include actors, characters and film moments, but the numbers do not overlap with base cards 265 through 330. Shared artwork does not make a sticker interchangeable with an orange-border card. Keeping each printed item in the right group is particularly important when an online listing provides only one cropped photograph.

Current linked picture inventory

The structured checklist has 77 linked fronts and 66 linked backs. All numbered base cards have both URLs, while the eleven stickers have front links only. These are credited links to an external collection rather than IDS-owned scans or guarantees of continuing availability. The archive should not invent sticker backs or reuse a modern reprint photograph when a particular image becomes inaccessible.

A documented end to the series

The StarWarsCards.net list and esbirrios reference together establish the numbered range, orange border, film-production subjects and reverse puzzle. This context permits identification, but neither source proves an individual card's condition or resale value. Any subsequent change to a printed title, front picture or variant must be checked against the correct fifth series and linked to the supporting evidence.
