Trading cards are material culture: small objects through which fans sort characters, eras, institutions, and memories. Topps Chrome Star Wars arrives September 30, 2026 with a checklist designed to move across the entire saga. The current Version 2 checklist combines a 200-card base set with new story-focused subsets, returning design concepts, original art, signatures, and one-of-one chase cards. This page separates what is in the product from the way collectors may choose to build it.

The searchable database below tracks 9,623 records generated from the published checklist. It treats the checklist as working data: records should be checked, labeled, and updated when stronger evidence appears. It includes the base subjects, their listed finishes, every insert finish in the working dataset, the autograph programs, and three sketch-foil reference slots for each listed artist. Topps may revise the checklist or product configuration before release, so this page keeps the official checklist link visible.

Base set and Debut cards

The base checklist is the foundation of the product. It covers characters from across the Star Wars universe and includes 44 marked Topps Debut subjects in the current data. Topps describes the set as a 200-card character collection supported by a wide range of Chrome parallels.

The base parallel ladder begins with unnumbered finishes: Refractor, Prism Refractor, RayWave Refractor, Black and White Shimmer Refractor, Skywalker Blue Geometric Refractor, and Purple Geometric Refractor. Numbered color continues through Kamino /199, Skywalker Blue /150, Kashyyyk Green /99, Star Wars LogoFractor /77, Gold /50, Orange /25, Orange Geometric /25, Rebel Orange Wave /25, Galaxy /15, Black /10, Black Geometric /10, and Black Mustafar Lava /10.

The short end of the ladder includes Dathomir Wave /5, Red /5, Red Geometric /5, HothFractor frozen-fraction cards, and SuperFractor 1/1. HothFractors are tracked as five copies per subject, numbered from -5/0 through -1/0 in the checklist language. The set also carries an Aurebesh variation with unnumbered, Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5, and SuperFractor 1/1 versions.

Insert sets

The current checklist data contains 17 insert themes and 257 insert cards before parallel finishes are expanded. The newest story groups are Andor Season 2 Characters and Moments, Visions Season 3 Characters and Moments, and The Mandalorian and Grogu Characters and Moments. These subsets give the product a direct connection to newer series and the upcoming film story.

Other designs create different collecting experiences. Stormtrooper Command uses helmet die-cuts. The Galaxy’s Cutest gives 15 characters and creatures a lighter presentation. Eras moves through the saga movie by movie with original artwork. Oblivion, Galactic Maximalists, Factions, Cosmic Crystals, Bonus Stage, Kyber Light, Reflections, and ComicFractor add design-led routes for collectors who want something beyond a character base set.

Autographs

The current database lists 247 autograph designs across six programs. Chrome Autographs account for 182 cards in the supplied checklist data, followed by Andor Season 2 Character Autographs, The Mandalorian and Grogu Character Autographs, Visions Season 3 Character Autographs, Duo Autographs, and Trio (triple-signer) Autographs.

Chrome Autographs use a full color ladder that includes base signatures, Green Refractor /99, Star Wars LogoFractor /77, Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5, and SuperFractor 1/1. Duo and Trio Autographs are important chase categories because the card can carry multiple cast signatures and a stronger visual connection between characters. The current data tracks Red /5 and SuperFractor 1/1 versions for both multi-signer programs.

Sketch cards and Printing Plate Book Cards

Topps lists 173 sketch artists in the current checklist. The database gives each artist three reference slots: Silver Foil, Gold Foil, and Black Foil. A finished sketch is original art and should be treated as a unique one-of-one object, even when the checklist groups artists by foil treatment.

Printing Plate Book Cards add another one-of-one chase. The current set data creates a Printing Plate Book Card reference for every one of the 200 base subjects. These are not ordinary color parallels. They are book-style, subject-specific premium cards that sit outside the normal refractor ladder.

How to collect the set

Collectors should decide which finish they are building before buying large quantities. A practical first goal is the 200-card base set plus one preferred parallel for each subject. A second route is a character collection, where a collector follows one subject through base, inserts, autographs, and sketches. A third route is a design collection focused on SuperFractors, HothFractors, Aurebesh, or one insert theme.

Condition matters most on chrome surfaces. Inspect edges, corners, print lines, surface scratches, and centering under a strong light. For numbered cards and autographs, record the serial number, purchase source, and storage location. The checklist below lets you mark ownership and save card-specific notes on your device.
