Blue-border completion of the film set

The second 1983 Topps Return of the Jedi series uses blue frames around its movie pictures. It completes the continuous numbered base sequence with 88 cards, 133 through 220. The sticker numbers continue from 34 through 55, supplying another 22 items. Across both regular series there are 220 numbered cards and 55 printed sticker identities, excluding the separate sticker-album product.

A different mixture of scenes and portraits

Card 133 introduces Series 2, followed by scenes such as the heroes' capture, the Emperor's arrival and the conflicts on Endor. Later cards include portraits, alien subjects and Imperial spacecraft. The final numbered item, 220, is a checklist. A seller's description of a Death Star or Jedi scene may match several releases; this edition's blue frame and printed code determine the correct catalog row.

Star Quiz across the original trilogy

The Series 2 numbered-card reverses use Star Quiz questions referring to the three original films. The answer to a question commonly appears on a following card, so two different numbered reverses should not be treated as a duplicate. This feature differs from the first series' descriptive backs with character drawings. IDS links the numbered front to its own corresponding reverse where that reference has already been documented.

Twenty-two continuing sticker numbers

Series 2's stickers have numbers 34 through 55 and are separate from cards 133 through 220. Collecting references describe die-cut images against red or orange coloring and a picture-puzzle design on the reverse sides. The current IDS rows contain linked fronts for all 22 stickers, but no linked backs, so a puzzle reverse should not be claimed as individually pictured. Missing reverse scans remain an evidence gap.

The actual gallery coverage

All 88 numbered card entries and all 22 sticker entries have a sourced front-image URL, totaling 110 linked fronts. The 88 numbered cards have back-image links, while the 22 stickers lack documented back URLs. The catalog previously reported only 88 images despite having sticker fronts in its JSON. Updating that number does not mean the scans have been downloaded or licensed by IDS.

Distinguishing the second series

The StarWarsCards.net release list and esbirrios Series 2 photographs confirm the blue borders, continuous 133–220 base numbering and 34–55 sticker numbers. PSA independently describes the final regular card series and its sticker format. These records establish an edition-specific checklist; they are not evidence that an unusual advertised printing is rare, authentic or part of a separately proven variant run.
