1994 Galaxy Series Two now distinguishes normal retail #141–275 and etched foil chase #7–12 from embossed silver-stamp Deluxe factory base cards, six distinct factory holographic-background chase finishes, plus an exclusive 00 McQuarrie Vader, H2 R2-D2/C-3PO 3D hologram and unnumbered Galaxy III Boba Fett preview. Additional P1 oversized 5x7 is different from ordinary P1. P4 factory 1993, SWB1 binder and SWP0 Widevision already counted elsewhere: source cross-references only, no duplicate original cards. No new licensed front/back files.

Checklist data · Original 135 base, six pack etched foils, seven pre-existing unique promo objects; plus 135 foil-stamped factory bases, six factory holofoil inserts, three factory-exclusive promos and one distinct oversized promotion. Separate cross-release P4/SWB1/SWP0 sources not counted twice.
The original 1994 Galaxy Series Two
Topps released the second Star Wars Galaxy series in spring 1994. The regular retail set runs from printed card 141 through 275, continuing the numbered sequence started by Galaxy Series One, for 135 original base cards. Its six Etched Foil chase cards continue the insert numbering from seven through twelve. Each retail foil was inserted at approximately one per eighteen packs. Both existing groups already have card-number-matched original third-party front and reverse source links. The archive preserves those retail records instead of replacing their photographs with scans from the later deluxe tin.
The 135 different factory-stamped base printings
The December 1994 Deluxe Factory Tin held a complete original base series with embossed silver Topps or Galaxy foil stamp on its card fronts. These 135 versions share the regular cards' printed 141 through 275 numbers but are physically different finish variants. All are now separately indexed with original TCDb Deluxe Edition item record links. The matched source identifier sequence starts with factory card 141, continues through 240 and ends with 275, using the same original number and artwork as the corresponding retail base card. A retail scan cannot prove a foil-stamped printing. TCDb factory-card photographs are incomplete; the set currently has no new copy-cleared factory front or back images.
Six factory holofoils are not retail etched foils
The original retail Etched Foil puzzle inserts are numbered seven through twelve and show Imperial officers or Tarkin, Stormtroopers, the Emperor, Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt and Oola. The deluxe tin includes six related cards on different holographic or prism foil stock. TCDb indexes the six factory foil cards under a separate Deluxe Edition Foil subset and original numbered source records. The archive gives each one its own physical entry, retaining the shared chase number while labeling its distinct foil type. This prevents an ordinary etched Tarkin or Oola photograph from being mistaken for the deluxe holographic counterpart. The retailer card image remains attached only to the retail printing.
Darth Vader 00, H2 droids and the next-series preview
Contemporaneous collector inventories list several further original factory-tin inserts. Ralph McQuarrie's Darth Vader standing on the bridge appears on separately printed promotional card 00, also distributed through a QVC art-book offer. The tin included a distinct three-dimensional C-3PO and R2-D2 hologram, called H2 by collectors and indexed as a hologram in Trading Card Database. It also contained an unnumbered Boba Fett preview promoting Galaxy Series Three, distributed inside the 1994 tin before the later series. The Boba Fett preview's IDS code is only an internal label; it is not claimed to be a manufacturer's printed number. All three are separate objects from the base cards and six foil inserts.
Promotion sizes, release dates and cross-series references
A separate larger original Rancor and AT-AT promotional card appeared as a five-by-seven-inch insert in Diamond's 1994 Previews catalogue. Its physical size, additional artwork and reverse distinguish it from the ordinary P1 Rancor convention card already in the archive. Historical Galaxy Two promo lists also mention P4 and SWB1, but both physical cards have already been counted in their original 1993 Galaxy One factory or binder product families. The Widevision ceremony promo SWP0 shipped in the Galaxy Two tin but remains the same physical card already indexed under the 1995 Widevision collecting release. The archive preserves these three cross-references without inventing duplicate printed cards.
Photograph coverage and documentation limits
The archive now separates the standard 135 base-card fronts, six retail Etched Foils, seven previously indexed unique promotional objects, 135 deluxe factory base printings, six exclusive factory foil designs, three separate factory bonuses and one additional oversized promotion. This makes 293 source-backed card or printing entries without treating repeated illustrations as different original scenes. The original external front and back links number 141, not the older catalog figure of 135, because all six retail chase cards were already pictured. Newly indexed factory and promotional source pages may contain user photographs or merely an item identifier. None of those third-party photographs has been cleared for copying, caching or local hosting. Later signed artist redemptions also require documented physical examples before adding a fixed autograph checklist.
