Yellow-border Series 3

The third Topps Star Wars series uses a yellow border and continues numbered base cards from 133 through 198. Its stickers are numbered separately from 23 to 33. The 77 indexed entries divide into 66 ordinary cards and eleven stickers, rather than 77 base cards. These ranges distinguish the third series from the red- and green-border releases surrounding it.

Opening cards and printed captions

Card 133 depicts Ben and Luke helping C-3PO, card 134 refers to Luke's ambition to become a pilot, and card 135 concerns the cantina. Other entries show character portraits, performers and spacecraft. The original captions are useful identification evidence even when their language differs from present-day Star Wars reference material. A correct image must show the yellow-border printed identity.

Descriptions in place of profiles

The linked collector gallery reports 22 official-description backs concerning people, ships and creatures. Another 44 card reverses form two picture puzzles. These features distinguish Series 3 from the actor-profile material in the previous series. The reverse designs belong to the numbered base cards. Puzzle sections should not inflate the count or be represented as independent card fronts.

Eleven more numbered stickers

Sticker 23 depicts the performer associated with Darth Vader, and the series continues the separate sticker numbering through 33. The sticker sequence begins where the red-border series ended. Film stills and performer portraits may resemble card illustrations elsewhere, but shared subject matter does not establish interchangeable collectibles. The archive preserves the sticker code apart from each numbered base-card code.

Image links by group and side

The checklist contains 77 linked front images, covering all 66 base entries and all eleven stickers. It also has 66 linked numbered-card reverses, with no separate sticker backs. These counts describe records with a sourced URL, not locally stored files or guaranteed live images. Third-party provenance remains attached to each record; unavailable scans should not be replaced by unrelated artwork.

Rechecking the yellow series

The recorded StarWarsCards.net checklist establishes the card and sticker sequences, and the credited esbirrios gallery supplies a card-by-card visual reference. The archive does not infer scarce printings, grading outcomes or prices from those sources. Revisions should preserve the published title, printed number and source URL. A similarly colored release from another region or year is not sufficient evidence.
