Disney Store Adds R8-26 Droid Factory Figure with an RX-01 Build-A-Droid Piece
The November Droid Factory release connects Tales of the Empire to the six-figure RX-01 build program; Disney lists the figure for $19.99.
Quick read: Disney Store lists the new R8-26 Droid Factory figure, based on Tales of the Empire, for $19.99. The package includes a component for assembling RX-01 from Skeleton Crew once all six designated figures are collected.
The November droid comes from Tales of the Empire
R8-26 appears in the animated Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, accompanying Ambassador Nadura during her assignment to Corvus. Disney Store has added the astromech to its monthly Droid Factory Build-A-Droid program.
The item is listed under product number 418141281750 and includes a collector card. Disney identifies the figure as approximately 3.75 inches high and made from ABS, PVC and polypropylene.
One figure contributes to a larger build
R8-26 includes a separate part for the buildable RX-01 droid associated with Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Disney says six designated figures are needed to obtain all the necessary parts, and each individual release is sold separately.
That structure means the $19.99 R8-26 price does not buy a completed RX-01. Collectors pursuing the bonus droid need to verify the included component and account for the other releases in the program.
Store availability may change
The official listing showed a $19.99 U.S. price and a temporary out-of-stock message during research on November 7. Availability can change without notice. The listing also states a limit of two per customer.
Disney Store's Star Wars toy landing page identifies R8-26 among its latest Droid Factory drops and advertises a separate Life Day R2-D2 release planned for November 17 at 8 a.m. Pacific. That seasonal item is not part of the R8-26 package.
