Quick read: Penguin Random House Comics Retail lists January 13, 2027 as the on-sale date for Hope Assembles #1, with nine cover offerings and November 23 as retailers' final-order cutoff. Cover A is listed at $5.99 in the United States. Several listings use different total series counts, so only the verified issue-one facts are treated as settled.

Issue one has a specific on-sale date and retailer cutoff

Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles brings the original Star Wars film's opening events into Marvel's Earth-616 continuity. Kevin Smith writes the crossover, and David Marquez is credited as the interior artist. Lucasfilm and Marvel announced the collaboration as part of the fiftieth-anniversary publishing program.

Penguin Random House Comics Retail's October 28 update lists the first issue for January 13, 2027 and identifies November 23, 2026 as the final-order-cutoff date for comic retailers. Its Cover A entry has a $5.99 U.S. list price and product identifier 75960621652900111. The cutoff is a retailer ordering deadline, not a guarantee that consumers can reserve every variant.

Nine covers do not mean nine story issues

The distributor lists a main Cover A and eight additional offerings. The publisher's announced themes include Alliance, Battle, A New Hope, Crossover and Retro variants, followed by a Marvel Homage cover, a foil edition and a virgin edition. Listed artists include David Marquez, Alex Ross, Kaare Andrews, Cory Smith, Rafael Albuquerque, Dan Jurgens and Matteo Lolli. Some early artist credits and cover illustrations remain provisional.

The distributor identifies a 1:25 incentive cover and a 1:100 incentive cover among the options. Those numbers concern retailer order qualifications, not the number of physical copies printed. A collector should match a specific cover letter, final artwork and publisher identifier before interpreting a seller's scarcity claim.

One important detail is still inconsistent

Penguin Random House's October 28 report calls Hope Assembles a five-issue miniseries. A Marvel-supplied preview circulated on October 20 describes a six-issue series. That discrepancy does not change the separately documented January 13 issue-one date, but a prospective full-series collector should not rely on either count without a reconciled official solicitation.

The image above identifies the main Cover A. It should not be used as a photograph or visual record of any other cover, foil treatment or retailer-exclusive print. Future issue dates and variant art should be checked against the exact publisher listing rather than inferred from the initial release.
