Anoon Bondara is a Legends-era Rutian Twi'lek Jedi Master best known from Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. His biography combines several forms of Jedi labor that are easy to overlook when the Order is reduced to battlefield heroics: local stewardship, classroom instruction, apprenticeship, weapons training, and the transmission of embodied knowledge.
Watchman of the Ryloth system
Bondara serves as Jedi Watchman for the Ryloth system, connecting him directly to the Twi'lek homeworld. A Watchman is not simply a visiting warrior. The assignment makes a Jedi responsible for an ongoing relationship between a local region and the wider Order.

Encounter with Darth Maul
The attacker is Darth Maul, operating before the Sith have publicly revealed their return. Bondara engages him in lightsaber combat and discovers that even his celebrated ability is not enough to secure victory.
Bondara ultimately sacrifices himself by detonating a speeder in an attempt to kill Maul and allow the others to escape. Maul survives, but the scene gives Bondara's expertise a final meaning: mastery is not presented as invulnerability. It becomes the capacity to make a decision under conditions where survival is no longer likely.
Combat tradition
Legends material associates Bondara with Juyo, Jar'Kai aptitude, Teräs Käsi, and a broad set of Force abilities. More important for IDS is what that list represents: the Jedi Order contains specialized bodies of practice that are preserved through disciplined instruction.
