Hasbro Reveals New Star Wars Figures: October Preorder Dates and Spring 2027 Releases
Queen Amidala, Zam Wesell and two Jedi enter the Black Series lineup, while a Mandalorian three-pack and six-figure Saga Collection set target collectors in 2027.
Quick read: Hasbro's New York Comic Con announcements include October 15, 22 and 29 preorder windows for new Black Series and Vintage Collection Star Wars figures, with products expected in spring 2027.
October 15: A six-figure Saga Collection multipack
Hasbro announced a Star Wars Black Series Saga Collection multipack containing Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker in Padawan attire, a Galactic Marine, Luke Skywalker in his X-wing pilot uniform, IG-88 and Tessek. The six-character selection spans multiple films rather than one battle or fictional era. The set includes VHS-inspired packaging sleeves featuring imagery that evokes the films' theatrical posters, turning the outer presentation into a significant part of its appeal to collectors.
Published product details list the preorder for October 15, 2026 at 1 p.m. Eastern, which is 10 a.m. Pacific, through Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers. Spring 2027 is the stated release window. A preorder time does not guarantee unlimited inventory, a particular retailer's allocation or delivery on a specific date. Collectors should verify final price, availability and purchase limits directly on the retailer's listing.
October 22: Three figures from The Mandalorian
The Vintage Collection Mandalorian three-pack depicts the encounter between the Razor Crest and New Republic X-wing pilots in the second season of The Mandalorian. It includes Trapper Wolf, Carson Teva and Frog Lady with her carrying pack. Unlike the six-inch Black Series line, Vintage Collection figures are made in approximately 3.75-inch scale, and this group is presented as a coordinated scene-based set.
The published preorder time is October 22 at 1 p.m. Eastern, again 10 a.m. Pacific. Its design and Kenner-inspired packaging invite comparison with vintage Star Wars toys, while the choice of two pilots and Frog Lady emphasizes characters outside the principal heroic cast. The published spring 2027 target remains a window, not a confirmed arrival date at every retailer.
October 29: Jedi and a shape-shifting assassin
New six-inch Black Series individual figures of Zam Wesell, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin are scheduled for preorder October 29 at 1 p.m. Eastern. Lucasfilm's NYCC recap identifies Zam Wesell as the Clawdite bounty hunter from Attack of the Clones and names the two Jedi as additional additions to the line. The figures place supporting prequel-era characters in the same collecting program as better-known film leads.
Hasbro's supplied product descriptions specify accessories relevant to their identities. Zam Wesell includes weapons and interchangeable disguise-related elements; the two Jedi figures include lightsabers and effect accessories. Those details make the figures more than generic representations of their species or institutional roles. As with every reveal, the final retail description should determine exactly what arrives in each box.
An additional Dewback set and the distinction between announcements and availability
Lucasfilm also highlighted the six-inch Dewback and Sandtrooper two-pack tied to A New Hope and sold through Walmart. Its earlier October 9 preorder window is distinct from the three forthcoming preorder dates above. Announced products may be subject to sellouts or subsequent restocks, so the fact that the initial window began does not by itself establish current inventory.
New York Comic Con ran October 8–11, with Lucasfilm publishing its roundup on October 11. The 2027 releases were announced at the convention, not newly released on October 14. This IDS report is a follow-up for collectors who need dates, formats and characters in one place, rather than a claim that the figures are already in stores.
