Around 3950 BBY, Elsinoré den Tasia ascended the throne of Grizmallt. Her reign promoted exploration beyond established routes and large-scale colonization. In her first year she sponsored fourteen colonies, including Human settlement across eight worlds of the Renatasia system. Many other expeditions failed or vanished, but the policy reshaped Grizmallt's long-distance identity for decades.

QUEEN TASIA'S EXPEDITIONS
Documented chronology and evidence limits
Around 3950 BBY, Elsinoré den Tasia became queen of Grizmallt and supported an era of exploration and outward settlement. Legends accounts credit her first year with sponsorship of fourteen colonial settlements, including expeditions to the eight worlds of the Renatasia system. Many colonies eventually lost communication with Grizmallt, and numerous ships disappeared. Accounts of Naboo must be handled separately: Legends places knowledge of its system earlier in some histories and a major Grizmallti refugee colonization expedition around 3900 BBY, near the end of Tasia's life. That later fleet should not be presented as already departing in 3950.
Anthropology: institutions and everyday consequences
Royally financed colonization created links between monarchy, navigation, material resources and population movements. The label 'discovery' often records the explorer's or court's viewpoint rather than the first presence of sentient inhabitants. Naboo's Gungans were an established population before Human settlement and should not vanish from the narrative. Distance and broken communications also made parent-world political control fragile, allowing some colonies to develop independently. This entry connects migration history with relations between newcomers and local communities without assuming every expedition had the same outcome.

Colonization becomes royal policy
Exploration is backed by court resources rather than left solely to independent scouts.
The monarchy uses migration to extend social and cultural presence across distant space.
Failure is part of the expansion record
Many ships are lost while moving beyond mapped hyperlanes.
The successful colonies are therefore the visible survivors of a much larger and riskier program.
Anthropological assessment
Tasia's program shows state-sponsored migration as both exploration and territorial expansion.
Colonial histories often remember successful destinations while obscuring failed voyages and the people who disappeared along the way.
A monarchy sponsors migration across the galaxy
Elsinoré den Tasia's accession encouraged Grizmallti exploration and colonization. Court support allowed voyages to become a sustained political program rather than individual private adventures. The establishment of settlements and loss of expeditions both belonged to the policy's history. A chronology should record successful colonies without turning every voyage into a triumphant discovery.
The episode also requires careful separation from Naboo's early settlement history. Legends sources place several Grizmallti exploration and colonization milestones in different years; a royal policy beginning around 3950 BBY is not the same event as every later Naboo migration. Colonies produce new relationships among settlers, local societies and the sponsoring homeworld. Political legitimacy can be claimed through exploration even when the experiences of migrants are far less secure than the court's ambitions.
Did all Grizmallti voyages establish lasting settlements?
No. The source accounts describe both successful colonization and failed or missing expeditions, and distinguish the royal program from Naboo's later settlement stages.
