Original U.S. Topps releases · 1997
The Star Wars 1997 card archive.
Explore the two distinct Star Wars Special Edition products and Topps Star Wars Vehicles. Hobby and Retail have separate 72-card base checklists. The Vehicles release has its own 72 base cards, cutaways, three-dimensional inserts and promotions. Each entry opens its original catalog record, not a borrowed image of another issue.

Hobby, Retail and Vehicles
1997 Special Edition Hobby and Retail are not the same base checklist despite repeating numbers 1–72. Vehicle insert numbers may also repeat numbers in other groups. The set and section always remain part of each card identity.

About the 1997 editions
The 1997 Star Wars Special Edition Hobby and Retail releases have two separately documented 72-card base checklists. The available gallery links show the associated original printing; an image from Hobby is not interchangeable with its same-numbered Retail card. The Vehicles collection has different subjects and additional physical inserts and case promotions.
The 222 front-image URLs come from pre-existing IDS source records, not newly downloaded artwork. The card titles are matched to established character dossiers only when a name appears explicitly in the original printed reference. Card variants lacking a documented image remain visible and searchable.
