Mastervision differs from the widescreen photography used by Widevision. Finest includes original refractor parallel versions that must not be represented using a normal card photograph. Shadows of the Empire has its own artwork and story subjects. The original set checklists distinguish regular cards, inserts, promotion cards, and variants by printed card identity and packaging.

Gallery images are references already recorded in the IDS source files. The 768 front-image references are not 768 newly downloaded or licensed files. Cards without a matched picture remain in the searchable checklist.

Continue chronologically to the 1997 Topps Special Edition Hobby, Retail and Star Wars Vehicles gallery. The two Special Edition printings are cataloged separately.

The archive continues through the complete U.S. Star Wars release directory. Earlier combined galleries cover the 1977–1978 original Topps series, 1983 Return of the Jedi album, and 1993–1995 Galaxy.
