Outcome
Jadus escapes with Nul's holocron

The next major break in the Darth Nul investigation came aboard the Enigma, Nul's vast research vessel hidden in Wild Space. Darth Jadus contacted the Alliance Commander and presented himself as a possible guide against the greater dangers posed by Malgus and Heta Kol. Once aboard, the Commander encountered fragments of Nul's history, restored her personality matrix, and learned that her machine had originally been designed to awaken latent Force potential across enormous populations. The mission ended in betrayal and the loss of Nul's holocron to Jadus.

Political lensJadus offers 'order' as an alternative to Republic, Sith, Alliance, and Mandalorian instability.
Social lensFaction loyalty becomes unstable when Tau or Rivix decides another obligation matters more than the Commander.
Material lensThe Enigma is simultaneously laboratory, archive, habitat, and machine for reconstructing the mind of its former owner.

The Enigma is a research institution preserved as a ship

Nul's laboratory could move through space, allowing experiments, records, specimens, and personnel to travel together. Unlike a temple archive fixed to one world, the Enigma made knowledge geographically mobile.

That mobility also helped the vessel disappear from ordinary institutional memory after Nul's fall.

Nul's machine was originally more than a weapon

The restored personality matrix explains that Nul wanted to awaken the Force in billions of beings, bypassing Jedi and Sith monopolies over doctrine and training.

That purpose makes the technology politically explosive. It threatens institutions whose authority depends partly on controlling access to Force knowledge.

Khar Shian becomes the next target

Nul's matrix identifies geography as essential to the machine's reach. With Elom no longer usable, Khar Shian becomes the next viable location for galaxy-scale activation.

This turns an obscure Sith moon and Naga Sadow's forgotten fortress into the focal point of several competing movements.

Betrayal transfers the holocron to Jadus

The Commander is trapped while a trusted faction ally hands the holocron to Jadus. The motives differ, but the structural outcome is the same: Jadus gains the key to Nul's machine.

The event demonstrates how security failures can come from trusted insiders rather than superior external force.

Arn Peralun rescues the Commander

After Jadus escapes, Arn secretly follows and extracts the Commander. The mission therefore ends with both loss and new intelligence: the holocron is gone, but Khar Shian is now known as the convergence point.

The race to the finale begins immediately.

Why is the date only approximate?

Because real-world story delays broke the simple one-release-year/one-in-universe-year mapping. The narrative sequence is clear, but the exact BBY label is reconstructed.

Why would Nul want billions to feel the Force?

Her philosophy rejected exclusive Jedi and Sith control of Force knowledge. The machine was intended to democratize access, though later factions weaponized that idea.

Who betrays the Commander?

Tau Idair in the Republic route, Darth Rivix in the Imperial route. The motives differ, but both hand Nul's holocron to Jadus.

Why Khar Shian?

Nul's matrix identifies it as a location where the machine can achieve exceptional reach, and Naga Sadow's fortress can physically contain the full-scale device.

Anthropological assessment

Master's Enigma is about institutional monopoly over knowledge. Nul's original goal threatens Jedi and Sith not simply because it creates power, but because it removes their ability to define who is authorized to learn and use the Force.

The faction-specific betrayal also shows that trust is relational rather than absolute. People embedded in the same organization can rank obligations differently when crisis makes loyalty conflicts impossible to avoid.

Documented events and political anthropology

The event and the surviving evidence

The Master's Enigma story update continues the investigation into Darth Nul's holocron and the hidden actors seeking to use her research. The existing page places the Alliance aboard a vessel associated with the investigation, the Enigma. Published promotional material presents the next stage of the Legacy of the Sith arc, but game release scheduling alone cannot establish an exact fictional date.

Institutions, technology and collective life

A research vessel is a mobile archive whose value rests in access to tools, records and interpretation. It is important to distinguish information that the characters uncover from conclusions the audience can form only after Legacy Reborn. The precise roles of later conspirators should not be retroactively presented as common knowledge at the beginning of this mission.

Historical dating and what remains uncertain

The BBY date is an editorial Legends chronology placement. Release chronology is not necessarily fictional chronology, and story branches can modify outcomes. Unreported troop totals, dialogue and casualties are not reconstructed as facts.
