A coalition attacks the Sith-controlled capital

The Galactic Alliance Remnant, Roan Fel's Empire-in-exile and the New Jedi Order combined military forces to dislodge Darth Krayt. Their members had not forgotten earlier differences, but recognized the Sith government's existence as a shared danger.

The conflict stretches across institutions

Admiral Gar Stazi oversaw important fleet operations while Imperial Knights and Jedi confronted Sith forces on the surface. The battle was not won solely through a single duel; ground battles, warship attacks and rival leadership claims shaped the outcome.

Cade faces the Sith Emperor

Cade Skywalker confronted Krayt and killed him. Their encounter brought a direct end to a ruler who had sought to use Cade's healing abilities and had helped destroy the Jedi academy where Cade's father died.

The Sith regime collapses

Without Krayt's leadership, the One Sith lost its open galactic Empire. Surviving Sith fled into hiding, while the victorious factions faced the difficult task of governing together after years of civil war and purges.

Anthropological assessment

The final battle illustrates coalition politics after extreme polarization. Victory against a tyrant required organizations with different historical identities to create enough mutual trust to share risks, and the same challenge continued after the shooting stopped.

Did Cade fight alone, with no fleet or allies involved in the final campaign?

No. Cade's duel occurred within a coalition military campaign involving Jedi, Imperials and the Alliance Remnant.

Published issue evidence: how the story develops

01 · Earlier evidence

Star Wars: Legacy (2006) #36 →

In issue #36, Admiral Gar Stazi's Galactic Alliance fleet allies with Roan Fel's Imperials for an attack on the Sith Empire. Its publisher description explicitly characterizes the coalition as fragile and highlights the disagreement over tactics. This is evidence that cooperation preceded the final victory.

02 · Compare the outcome

Star Wars: Legacy—War #6 →

Legacy—War #6 is the six-part miniseries' conclusion. The publisher places the allies at Coruscant and says an empire falls. The complete issue, not this short description alone, provides evidence for the precise mechanics of Cade's last encounter with Krayt. A duel within a campaign should not replace the larger military history.

Source judgment: Did the allies first join forces only after the final battle was won?

Historical correction: No. The issue #36 description records Stazi and Fel's Imperials working together well before the Legacy—War #6 finale.

Coalition warfare mattered alongside Cade's duel

The campaign against Krayt's rule combined the military operations of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, Fel Imperial loyalists and the Jedi. Cade Skywalker's confrontation with the Sith Emperor was important but not the only cause of the final result. Fleets and allied forces created the situation in which the ruler could be challenged. Marvel's description of Legacy #36 emphasizes that cooperation was fragile and included disagreement about permissible military tactics.

Legacy: War #6 is the published finale of the series and places the allies at the capital as the Sith Empire falls. The public synopsis does not enumerate every movement of the opposing fleets or explain each moment of Cade's final encounter with Krayt. Those details require the original pages. Moreover the collapse of the Empire does not imply that all surviving Sith were captured or that competing organizations instantly adopted identical goals.

IDS examines how institutions with different histories can cooperate against a common threat without becoming the same political community. The renewed Sith war sets the immediate stakes. The Triumvirate settlement follows the combat and addresses a different challenge: building institutions that can govern after the coalition wins.

Publisher record: Marvel Comics issue or collection. Original panels are required for precise scene dialogue and claims not supported by the catalog. The fictional year is not the publication year. Analysis of institutions and cultural practice is IDS interpretation.
