From Sy Myrth, the Mandalorians entered Hutt Space and raided the Taskeed system. They defeated local opposition and continued toward Dennogra.
The war expands beyond Republic–Mandalorian relations
Hutt systems became targets even though the central political dispute was not theirs.
Regional expansion made third-party space part of the conflict.
How this raid fits the campaign
Taskeed brings the war into Hutt territory. The raid demonstrates how expansion ignored the Republic's political boundaries and destabilized neighboring powers as well.

Why is the date a range instead of a single year?
The existing IDS reconstruction attributes a broad campaign sequence to The Essential Atlas, but its original map and page have not yet been checked for this revision. The exact year of this engagement remains uncertain. IDS therefore keeps the c. 3973–3965 BBY window visible instead of manufacturing precision.
What remains uncertain about this battle?
The exact year, tactical order of battle and original event-specific artwork have not been verified. The route account does not establish those details.
The first recorded Hutt Space stop
Taskeed follows Sy Myrth and precedes Dennogra. No named Hutt ruler, troop count, or terms of control are verified for this raid. The broad early-siege date remains visible.
Source verification: The route account follows the existing IDS summary of The Essential Atlas. The publisher record and Lucasfilm Atlas companion confirm the reference work, but the precise original map/page and the cited Essential Guide to Warfare passage still require direct checking.
Anthropological assessment
A conflict described through Republic and Mandalorian institutions also affected neighboring territories. That wider geography does not establish a uniform Hutt response or shared civilian experience.
Taskeed shows how major wars pull neighboring polities into violence regardless of formal neutrality.
Geographic proximity can matter more than diplomatic status.
Historical interpretation · Legends
Taskeed and jurisdictional boundaries
Taskeed marks this branch's move into Hutt Space after Sy Myrth. The campaign illustrates that a war centered on the Republic and Neo-Crusaders could affect worlds subject to other political authorities. A battle here does not establish that every Hutt kajidic acted together or that every local community shared the same allegiance. Its place on the map is firmer than those unrecorded reactions.
Research boundary: Where military history gives a sequence rather than an original scene, IDS does not invent unit strengths, individual dialogue, casualties or unrecorded local reactions.

Taskeed: a Hutt Space raid expands the war's reach
The early raid at Taskeed is recorded after the movement through Sy Myrth and before the attack on Dennogra. Its position makes it the first named Hutt Space stop in this branch. The source account describes Mandalorian success and continued movement. It does not provide a direct scene describing the response of a Hutt kajidic, particular slaveholding institutions or the destruction of a named settlement. Because Hutt Space contained varied worlds and political relationships, the regional label cannot stand for a uniform local government.
The crossing matters politically even without a long battlefield narrative. A Republic–Mandalorian war becomes a security problem for nearby communities whose relationships to the Republic are not the same. Military planners may value routes irrespective of the governments claiming the systems along them. This interpretation should not be mistaken for evidence that every Taskeed resident opposed the Mandalorians for identical reasons. The surviving reference preserves the invasion's broad movement, not interviews with the people it affected.
IDS considers how geography can make an outside conflict difficult to avoid. The Sy Myrth stage marks the approach toward Hutt Space, and Dennogra is the next raid. Comparing them illuminates the extension of the campaign without exaggerating its documentation into a map of all Hutt political loyalties.
Investigate the record: Can the term Hutt Space by itself identify Taskeed's exact local ruler?
Evidence-based answer: No. A geographic region is not evidence that every system was administered identically or that a named Hutt directly commanded each garrison.
Source type: The Essential Atlas route reference. Del Rey bibliographic record · Atlas co-author Jason Fry on mapping methods. The web references confirm the reference work's publication and geographic method, not individual battle details or page-level cartography. Specific route sequence comes from the existing Atlas-based article record pending direct print-map crosscheck. Other political and material-life discussion is IDS interpretation.
