At the same time as the Makem campaign, a second force departed Lianna and attacked Jaminere. The Mandalorians won and continued south to Sy Myrth.

Lianna produces a second corridor

The split allowed simultaneous expansion rather than one serial campaign.

Parallel operations increased the number of governments forced to respond at once.

How this raid fits the campaign

Jaminere begins the southern branch. A second force from Lianna moved through Jaminere and then toward Sy Myrth and Hutt Space.

Why is the date a range instead of a single year?

The existing IDS reconstruction attributes a broad campaign sequence to The Essential Atlas, but its original map and page have not yet been checked for this revision. The exact year of this engagement remains uncertain. IDS therefore keeps the c. 3973–3965 BBY window visible instead of manufacturing precision.

What remains uncertain about this battle?

The exact year, tactical order of battle and original event-specific artwork have not been verified. The route account does not establish those details.

The second advance from Lianna

Jaminere begins the southern route toward Sy Myrth and Hutt Space. The current account does not establish synchronized timing or communications with the Makem branch. Those details are withheld.

Source verification: The route account follows the existing IDS summary of The Essential Atlas. The publisher record and Lucasfilm Atlas companion confirm the reference work, but the precise original map/page and the cited Essential Guide to Warfare passage still require direct checking.

Anthropological assessment

Branching campaigns can complicate strategic decisions for neighboring authorities. The record does not document particular messages or local panic, so the article does not invent them.

Jaminere illustrates how branching strategy multiplies uncertainty.

Defenders cannot easily predict the next target when one captured node supports several directions of movement.

Historical interpretation · Legends

Jaminere and the second Lianna advance

A separate column left Lianna for Jaminere while another moved toward Makem. This matters because the campaign involved simultaneous fronts rather than a single fleet visiting all named systems in order. After Jaminere, this branch continued to Sy Myrth and then Hutt Space, extending the consequences of the war beyond a single political jurisdiction.

Research boundary: Where military history gives a sequence rather than an original scene, IDS does not invent unit strengths, individual dialogue, casualties or unrecorded local reactions.

Jaminere: the parallel approach and divided defensive attention

The Jaminere operation begins the second mapped approach after Mandalorian forces gain access through Lianna. While one column advances toward Makem, another moves to Jaminere and then Sy Myrth. The record gives a Mandalorian victory and the next geographical stop but does not specify whether each part of the split left Lianna simultaneously or on separate days. It is therefore better to call these parallel campaigns than to invent synchronized troop movements whose timing has not been established by the surviving sources.

Opening two routes changes the strategic problem faced by the Republic and neighboring polities. A defender cannot assume that blocking one corridor protects every other potential approach. Yet the course of the attack cannot support a claim that particular Jaminere officers ordered a retreat, that every civilian was evacuated or that all local infrastructure was destroyed. Those are possible military narratives, not documented scenes. The source is a regional route record and must be described as such.

IDS uses this event to show how a map can reveal a relationship between military decision making and geography without disclosing each participant's motives. The Lianna junction provides the shared starting location. The Sy Myrth engagement marks the next point and begins the transition toward Hutt Space. Their relation explains why the Jaminere record belongs in a separate but connected chronology.

Investigate the record: Does Jaminere lie on the same branch as Makem and Quermia?

Evidence-based answer: No. Both routes follow Lianna, but Jaminere starts the other branch toward Sy Myrth and Hutt Space.
