FLASHPOINT WALKTHROUGH / IMPERIAL · TRAITOR ARC PART ONE · STORY 70+
Crisis on Umbara | Exact Imperial route
Follow the Umbaran train from its rear cars toward the cockpit, use the hidden non-glowing grapple target to cross a missing carriage, recover the Adegan crystals after the derailment and fire the temporary missile launcher from its marked position before the Spider Tank.
Mode and story notes: One-time Traitor Arc story requires level 70+, KOTFE/KOTET and War on Iokath progress; it uses its own story instance with Theron and Lana. Repeatable Story/Solo at 70+, Veteran Group Finder at 70–80 and Master Group Finder at 80. Do not confuse the story-chain instance with the ordinary [STORY] replay.
01
First finish KOTFE and KOTET
The linked TRAITOR ARC follows Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne. At level 70+ complete their story, then begin THE FORGOTTEN WORLD / WAR ON IOKATH from the ship's glowing blue story terminal or ERAS window.
02
Follow the correct Traitor Arc story chapter
Use the purple mission tracker instead of launching a repeatable [STORY] Flashpoint by itself. The sequence runs WAR ON IOKATH → CRISIS ON UMBARA → A TRAITOR AMONG THE CHISS → THE NATHEMA CONSPIRACY.
03
Return to Odessen's Alliance Staging Room
Travel to ODESSEN or use LAUNCH MISSION. On the OUTSIDE PLATFORM EAST of the Alliance base, take the elevator DOWN to ALLIANCE STAGING ROOM, then follow the purple story marker.
04
Do not select ordinary repeatable Story for the first run
The one-time Traitor Arc instance has dedicated cinematic story progression and its own mission. The repeatable [STORY] quest from a nearby terminal can be completed separately but does not replace the one-time arc.
05
Meet Theron Shan
On ODESSEN in the ALLIANCE STAGING ROOM, talk to THERON SHAN to begin the Crisis on Umbara mission. The purple objective grants the connected train instance.
06
Enter the linked Flashpoint
Follow the story objective to the CRISIS ON UMBARA door in the same staging area. In the one-time story, LANA is your companion and THERON follows, rather than an ordinary repeatable support droid.
07
Replay later via the terminal or Activity Finder
At 70+ the staging area Flashpoint terminal offers repeatable [STORY]. Activity Finder → SOLO → CRISIS ON UMBARA → TRAVEL also starts a repeatable version, not the original one-time chapter.
02 · OBJECTIVE-BY-OBJECTIVE WALKTHROUGH
Where to go and what to click next
01
Travel to Umbara
Follow the active STORY quest into the instance and arrive on the Umbaran freight train; advance along the safe carriages toward the front.
02
Advance to the front of the train
Move between train cars using the normal walkway and doors. A red-circle door is locked; one with a WHITE INTERACTION CIRCLE can often be right-clicked despite lacking a blue glow.
03
Defeat the Foreman
Fight the Foreman and its accompanying shielded turrets in the train. Watch for floor fire. Defeating the boss is not the whole access objective.
04
Retrieve the Console Key Card
After the Foreman, RIGHT-CLICK THE GLOWING BLUE DATAPAD in its room to receive the keycard. Then RIGHT-CLICK THE GLOWING BLUE KEYBOARD/CONSOLE to activate the crossing controls.
05
Use the passcode on the grapple console
At the MISSING TRAIN CAR, find the console associated with the grapple. Use the keycard's passcode to ACTIVATE THE GRAPPLE POINT.
06
Grapple across the missing car
Look for the GLOWING GREEN GRAPPLE CIRCLE at the top of the next train car. The actual right-click target can be the small BLUE BOX JUST BEHIND THE GREEN CIRCLE. Activate it to cross.
07
Continue through the forward cars
Stay with the train route to the next boss; avoid BLUE TRIP WIRES by jumping over them or RIGHT-CLICKING the nearby taller disarm box.
08
Defeat Technician Canni and Shadow Assassin Elli-Vaa
Defeat both enemies aboard the train. In harder modes keep their health relatively close so defeating one does not empower the other. Use nearby medpacs and avoid turret fire.
09
Confront the traitor in the cockpit
Continue to the front of the train and complete the story interaction in the COCKPIT. The narrative sequence sends the party into the train wreckage.
10
Follow through the wreckage
After the derailment continue on ground-level paths; do not backtrack along the destroyed carriage roofs to find the earlier rooms.
11
Collect Adegan Crystals
RIGHT-CLICK GLOWING BLUE CANNISTERS/CRATES scattered through the wreckage until the ADEGAN CRYSTAL objective counter is satisfied.
12
Defeat the Vixian Mauler
When you reach the Vixian Mauler, dodge BIG RED TRIANGULAR ATTACKS. It can jump toward distant players, so keep moving through the warning.
13
Climb over the wrecked carriage
After Vixian Mauler, the route continues OVER THE TOP OF A TRAIN CAR. Go up its visible slanted roof rather than looking for a new door at ground level.
14
Find the bypass supplies
On FIND A WAY TO BYPASS THE WRECKAGE, locate the GLOWING BLUE CRATE and RIGHT-CLICK it to acquire the temporary missile/rocket launcher.
15
Stand in the green firing location
For USE MISSILE LAUNCHER TO BYPASS WRECKAGE, find the MARKED GREEN CIRCLE near the obstruction. Stand INSIDE IT to enable the temporary rocket ability, then activate the new launcher ability to clear the path.
16
Follow the open route to the Spider Tank
Advance to the UMBARAN SPIDER TANK arena. When nearby CANISTERS are blue-interactable, detonate them from a safe distance to damage or clear hazards.
17
Defeat the Umbaran Spider Tank
Avoid its LARGE RED FIRE RECTANGLE and RED CIRCLE. Kill smaller enemies if overwhelmed. If stuck in combat after killing the tank, destroy remaining interactive explosive canisters.
18
Exit and finish the outer story
RIGHT-CLICK THE GLOWING EXIT BEACON or use Exit Area after the Spider Tank. Continue the one-time CRISIS ON UMBARA mission rather than queuing a repeatable Flashpoint.
Optional activities: Alpha Slybex is optional and accessible after derailment in Story, Veteran and Master. Blue tripwire disarm boxes, turrets and explosive barrels are environmental controls, not required boss phases. One-time story has Lana and Theron rather than ordinary replay support.

Boss mechanics without guessing
These descriptions cover the relevant objective, visual warning, controls and known failure points. Optional bosses are labeled and do not block the mandatory story.
By Imperial Dark Sector
ENCOUNTER 01 / 05
The Foreman
Where: Train control carriage before missing-car grapple.
01
Watch nearby shielded turrets
The first boss is supported by turrets; clear or avoid enough damage to survive.
02
Recover the keycard
RIGHT-CLICK the BLUE DATAPAD after the boss.
03
Activate the keyboard
RIGHT-CLICK the BLUE CONSOLE to enable the missing-car grapple sequence.
Stuck here? After the Foreman, progression requires TWO OBJECT INTERACTIONS, the blue datapad and keyboard, before the grapple works.
RIGHT-CLICK THE SMALL BLUE BOX DIRECTLY BEHIND the green grapple circle on top of the next train car; first obtain Foreman's keycard and activate the keyboard.
