Meetra's escape route led to Telos IV and Citadel Station, where the loss of Peragus fuel threatened the Restoration Project. After events on the surface, Meetra discovered Atris's secret academy in the polar region. The two former Jedi argued over the Mandalorian Wars and Meetra's exile. T3-M4 recovered records identifying surviving Masters on Dantooine, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon, and Korriban.

MEETRA MEETS ATRIS

Events and source limitations

After Peragus, Meetra reached Telos and discovered Atris’s hidden Jedi academy in the polar region. Atris, who had helped direct the earlier condemnation of Meetra’s involvement in the Mandalorian Wars, had preserved records and Sith holocrons while the Order’s visible institutions collapsed. During the confrontation Meetra learned more about the search for surviving Masters. This first Telos visit is distinct from the later duel with a fallen Atris, after the Enclave confrontation.

People, institutions and consequences

A hidden archive can preserve objects and knowledge while also isolating its custodian from correction by peers. Atris interpreted the past through a commitment to Jedi purity, yet acquired and concealed writings of the enemy. Her former relationship with Meetra brought institutional discipline and personal grievance into the same room. The secrecy around the academy made the collection powerful without making its use publicly accountable.

Atris preserves an archive while the Order collapses

Her academy contains Jedi teachings, artifacts, and records gathered while other Jedi hide or die.

Preservation and isolation become intertwined.

The old exile judgment remains unresolved

Atris and Meetra interpret the Mandalorian Wars through opposing moral frameworks.

Institutional conflict survives long after the Council that imposed the sentence has dispersed.

Anthropological assessment

The Telos academy shows archives as instruments of authority.

Collecting endangered knowledge can preserve a tradition, but control over the archive also lets one person shape whose interpretation of that tradition survives.

An archive without a surviving public Order

Meetra's return to Telos brought her into conflict with Atris, whose hidden academy preserved knowledge and material from the collapsed Jedi world. The same secrecy that protected the collection also separated Atris from colleagues able to challenge her judgments. Their encounter reopened disagreements over Meetra's role in the Mandalorian Wars and the Council's later decision to exile her.

T3-M4's retrieval of information about surviving Masters converted the confrontation into a search. Records preserved inside a closed institution became useful only when someone could carry and interpret them elsewhere. The scene distinguishes preservation of artifacts from restoration of the social relationships needed to make a Jedi Order function. Atris could hold documents and holocrons without resolving the institutional failures that the Exile had experienced.

Did the encounter immediately reunite the old Jedi Council?

No. Meetra left with clues about surviving Masters on other worlds; their later meeting belonged to a separate stage of the story.

Atris's academy is a contested archive

A hidden institution amid a failed public one

Meetra encountered Atris after reaching Telos and being drawn through the security and restoration apparatus surrounding Citadel Station. Atris's polar academy kept Jedi knowledge away from the public and from surviving Masters dispersed across the Republic. Its attendants and stored artifacts created an appearance of institutional continuity even though the Order's old authority had largely collapsed. Keeping the books, holocrons and routines of a tradition does not guarantee an uncontested right to speak for that tradition.

The original exile judgment returns

The meeting reopened their disagreement about the Mandalorian Wars and Meetra's decision to disobey the Council. Atris framed herself as a defender of the Jedi, while Meetra's experiences made her question whether the institution had responded responsibly to suffering outside its walls. This was not their final confrontation. The academy later became the site of a separate reckoning involving Sith artifacts and Atris's changing beliefs. Historical writing should distinguish that later defeat from this first meeting.

Information makes the next journey possible

T3-M4's recovery of records pointing to surviving Jedi Masters gave Meetra a practical basis for the search across Dantooine, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon and Korriban. It matters that a droid, rather than only Atris's decisions, preserved and transmitted institutional information. The game's travel order is flexible, so this archive discovery does not establish an absolute order of visits to those worlds. The older Order existed in fragmentary traces, personal memories and contested repositories, not one reliable central office.

Test your historical judgment: Does maintaining Jedi records automatically mean Atris still represents a functioning Jedi Council?

Analysis: No. A secret archive preserves materials, but its owner has no automatic mandate from a dispersed Order. Atris's claims of preservation and her treatment of Meetra are disputed within the game's narrative.
