Ancient Sith elites used monumental architecture and burial sites to display hierarchy and continuity. Later Sith and Force users returned because control over the past could support claims to knowledge, lineage, and authority in the present.

The planet is associated with the ancient Sith and with repeated efforts by later Force users to recover old teachings. Yoda traveled to Moraband during the Clone Wars as part of a spiritual journey, confronting both Sith history and attempts to manipulate him.
