Biography: before Mustafar burned
Thousands of years before Darth Vader's reign, Mustafar was not the volcanic world later seen in Revenge of the Sith. Official Lucasfilm accounts describe a landscape of life and vegetation and an ancient society whose sacred Bright Star crystal carried both great power and cultural importance.
Lady Corvax was a Force-sensitive ruler associated with that older Mustafar. Her husband, Lord Dorwin Corvax, died in combat. Rather than accept his loss, she developed the Aeon Engine, a device meant to restore him to life.
The plan required an extraordinary power source. Corvax took the Bright Star from the indigenous Mustafarian people, using a sacred object without treating the community's relation to it as a limit on her own desire.

Relationships, grief, and kinship
The central relationship in Corvax's story is with her husband. The attempt to reverse his death is framed as an act of love and grief, but the emotional motive does not erase the harm that follows. A family's private tragedy becomes a decision imposed on a much larger population.
Later legend preserves the names Corvax and the Bright Star through ruined buildings and Mustafarian testimony. The player character in Vader Immortal is a distant descendant, connecting an ancient decision to a later confrontation in Vader's fortress.
Corvax also parallels Darth Vader, who seeks a way to reverse Padmé Amidala's death. Lucasfilm explicitly links the two stories. Both characters imagine a technical and Force-related solution to bereavement, and both risk the welfare of others in pursuit of an impossible personal restoration.

Identity and social position
Lady Corvax occupies a powerful position at the intersection of rulership, Force sensitivity and the authority to command extraordinary technological resources. Those roles explain how she could pursue an experiment that ordinary citizens had little power to prevent.
The available sources do not provide a reliable full inventory of her titles, daily government, ethnicity, or childhood. This dossier therefore focuses on the relationships and decisions established in Vader Immortal and in Lucasfilm's historical explanations.
Her historical reputation is not simple. Mustafar remembers her both as a figure from an earlier social order and as the person whose action initiated environmental ruin. The surviving narrative asks whether good intentions toward one person can legitimate coercion toward others.

Institutions, sacred property, and power
The Bright Star belonged to the ritual and cultural life of native Mustafarians. It was not simply a neutral battery waiting to be installed in an engine. Taking it redirected community-held power toward an individual ruler's private objective.
That difference is crucial in the anthropology of heritage. The ownership and meaning of a sacred object are social questions as much as engineering questions. Removing the Bright Star from its community of practice created both a political violation and a catastrophic material consequence.
An authoritarian reading would emphasize only Corvax's ability to order a project into existence. A fuller reading also asks which people lost decision-making power over the artifact, whose warnings could be ignored, and who inherited the consequences long after the ruler had gone.

Material life: the Bright Star and Aeon Engine
The Aeon Engine was designed to bring Lord Corvax back from death. Its construction required specialized knowledge, physical infrastructure and the power of the Bright Star. Together, the engine and crystal turned private grief into a planetary experiment.
According to Lucasfilm's Mustafar history, activation unleashed energy that rapidly drained the land and changed the climate. The once-green world became the landscape of lava and ash familiar in the Skywalker saga.
The physical remains of the old fortress, the Bright Star, and the Corvax lightsaber connect that past to Vader Immortal's interactive story. Each is a material trace of decisions made before the Galactic Empire existed.
A different character: the Mustafarian Priestess is the contemporary spiritual guide who recounts Corvax's much older story. Her photographs belong on her separate character page.

Mustafar's environmental catastrophe
The destruction of Mustafar's former ecology is the largest consequence of Corvax's action. Planetary transformation does not simply mean a dramatic change of scenery. Habitats, settlement conditions, food systems and movement all change with it.
The Mustafarian communities later encountered under the planet's surface show survival in a landscape shaped by an event outside their control. The story therefore concerns not only catastrophe but also the long life of inherited ecological harm.
Lucasfilm's later account describes the Aeon Engine being destroyed by Corvax's descendant, setting in motion a partial recovery reflected by the emergence of Corvax Fen. The fen bears her name but represents both memory of the damage and a sign that environmental conditions can change again.
Character identification: the hero above is an AI-generated interpretation of Lady Corvax after the catastrophe, inspired by the separate in-game statue. It is not a screenshot or official depiction. The Mustafarian Priestess is a separate figure from Vader’s era who recounts Corvax’s history; her costume and portrait should not be used to illustrate Lady Corvax.

Appearance in Vader Immortal
Corvax's own lifetime precedes the game's Imperial-era events by millennia. The three-part VR series introduces her history through ruins, the Mustafarians' remembered traditions and the mystery of the Bright Star. She should not be presented as a living Imperial officer or one of Vader's contemporary subordinates.
The ancient fortress beneath Vader's castle is an archaeological setting in the story. It gives the player direct access to material evidence of an earlier Mustafarian order, while the present-day characters try to repurpose the same technology.
The game's end returns the problem of Corvax's legacy to one of her descendants. The resolution links inheritance not only to bloodline but also to the obligation to respond to damage created by an ancestor.

Anthropological assessment
Lady Corvax's story concerns the unequal distribution of risk. A powerful ruler sought relief from personal loss, while an entire society and its ecology paid a cost. That distinction makes the story useful for thinking about infrastructure, sacrifice and extractive authority.
The Bright Star illustrates a conflict between sacred heritage and instrumental value. For Mustafarians it was a culturally meaningful object. In the Aeon Engine, it was treated primarily as energy. The tragedy arose in part from refusing to recognize the first meaning as legitimate.
Corvax is also a study in historical memory. Later generations inhabit a landscape that remembers her action even when they cannot undo it. The final discovery of the old catastrophe gives the player a choice to reproduce the exploitation or disrupt it.
