How it handles, and why
Speeder bikes strip away much of the protection found on larger repulsorcraft. The exposed rider controls a smaller, agile machine that can reach dangerous speed quickly. Kinetic Burst is its class-specific tool, distinct from the common Afterburner and Ramjet. Lucasfilm warns that the extra acceleration makes cornering wider if you trigger the maneuver without planning where the bike will go.

Every vehicle also has shared acceleration and boost systems, but the signature maneuver changes what you should do when approaching a dangerous turn. Some course variants restrict which craft can enter; always read the actual event rules before changing your build.
Practical advice
Use the class's strengths to finish a whole clean race before chasing a record. If a mechanical change makes your lap unpredictable, reduce speed and relearn the corner.

Cornering and boost timing
Separate turning from bursting while learning. Begin a tight corner at a manageable speed, aim the bike along the desired exit, and only then trigger Kinetic Burst. Do not combine every boost as you enter a blind bend. The bike's fast response makes it easy to over-correct; a smooth early steering adjustment is more useful than a frantic last-second move.
Afterburner and Ramjet remain available as shared systems, but stacking them with Kinetic Burst can leave you unable to maneuver. Use short acceleration when you have a clear recovery lane. The faster you go, the earlier you must prepare for the next turn. Ramjet's thermal cost adds a second hazard beyond the bike's fragility.
Practice your class move without extra boosts first. Once that is reliable, use Afterburner for repeatable acceleration, then test Ramjet where you can control its heat and the next braking point. If an assist setting makes the maneuver easier, use it; the goal is consistent route completion.

Vehicle parts, upgrades and build direction
A speed-focused bike can combine Cornering, its class maneuver and carefully managed Ramjet. If you are still crashing, choose survivability before another peak-speed boost. Remember that a high-rarity part is not automatically appropriate when it rewards boost use in narrow tunnels. Build around a specific Racer Style and the events ahead.
Resilience / protective abilities
A fragile bike benefits from avoiding contact and can justify some defensive investment.
Ramjet or Afterburner focus
Choose one boost-oriented synergy after you have mastered the corner-exit timing.
Fuse Games describes temporary stat improvement and up to five equipped parts during a normal Tour. Parts can have synergy and can develop faults. Your specific shop inventory and chosen Racer Style change which upgrades make sense, so these are categories to prioritize rather than guaranteed item drops.

What keeps causing crashes?
Open the issue that best describes what happened during your last race. Try the suggested correction on a familiar circuit before adding another upgrade.
Kinetic Burst throws me into the wall
Wait until the turn is mostly completed before activating it, and choose a wider safe exit.
Other players keep wrecking me
Pass when the road is open. Avoid direct contact beside barriers, acid pools or narrow gates.
My heat meter fills too quickly
Separate Ramjet use from Kinetic Burst and release heat-producing thrust before difficult corners.
05 / Skill drill
Three-lap training challenge
Run one lap without Kinetic Burst. Choose two bends with clear exits; on lap two trigger Kinetic Burst only after those exits. On the third attempt, add Afterburner on one straight. Compare clean times and crash counts. A risky lap with an impressive speed peak is not a success if you cannot finish.

Is Kinetic Burst the same as Afterburner?
No. Kinetic Burst is the class maneuver. Afterburner is a shared boost available across craft.
Why is my bike fast but losing races?
Poor exits, crashes and missed passing windows can erase any straight-line advantage.
Can I use a bike on every event?
Some events restrict vehicles. Check the event briefing, particularly dedicated podracing challenges.
