Jakku exhibition start grid

JAKKU / STANDALONE ROUTE

The Giants' Graveyard

The opening exhibition teaches the speed and boosting systems while you drive through Jakku's wrecked Imperial warships. This is not a conventional three-lap circuit: the track atlas describes a single point-to-point run. The actual gameplay screenshot shows a broad start with other racers nearby.

01 / Race brief

What to do before the start

Select the named Giants' Graveyard event in Arcade or Shakedown and match its main forward map. For Darius Pax's opening story exhibition, switch to the separate Prologue: Jakku guide.

PRIMARY DANGER · Imperial wreckage and obscured exits

If you're leading and can no longer follow rivals, look ahead for the route markers and the widest safe path; do not assume an open gap is a shortcut.

02 / Practical step-by-step

Follow the route

Select a stage to read the corresponding driving plan. These stages follow the progression of a race, not undocumented geographic checkpoint coordinates. Use the mapped course link above for the actual road and gates.

START GRID

Keep a safe line and read the first route marker before boosting. The pictured start-grid screenshot comes from the Jakku Prologue and illustrates the environment, not this named course.

How to recognize it

You will see the lap HUD at 1/1: this is one continuous route, not repeated laps.

04 / Route selection

Shortcuts, forks and checkpoints

22 alternative lines are recorded for this route configuration, and 3 checkpoints are documented in the course database. That does not mean each branch is faster, marked in-game as a shortcut or safe for every vehicle. The atlas has top-down and 3D geometry; inspect it before committing to a fork.

  1. Open the matching main-forward route in the atlas and identify the checkpoint sequence.
  2. Find any alternate branch and verify its rejoin before making a speed comparison.
  3. Run the same version in Arcade, where possible, and complete two clean attempts on the normal line.
  4. Test one alternative at a time, using finish time and crash count to judge the trade-off.

IDS has not personally driven this game or extracted checkpoint coordinates. We do not claim a specific left-right turn or shortest line without matching gameplay/map evidence.
