Jakku race past Imperial wreckage

JAKKU / DANGEROUS WRECKAGE

The War Fields

The War Fields emphasizes Jakku's shipwreck geometry. The post-launch route data describes a 7 km forward loop with three checkpoints and seventeen alternate lines; there are also reverse and special configurations. Surviving a dangerous line is more valuable than entering a wider bend too fast.

01 / Race brief

What to do before the start

Choose handling and damage resistance before top speed, especially if your previous races ended in collisions with wreckage. Read the race's actual target in the current tour. Some early routes can carry higher consequences for failure.

PRIMARY DANGER · Large Imperial hulls and scrap choke points

If you repeatedly hit a particular wreck, start braking one landmark earlier and only increase entry speed after clearing it three times.

02 / Practical step-by-step

Follow the route

Select a stage to read the corresponding driving plan. These stages follow the progression of a race, not undocumented geographic checkpoint coordinates. Use the mapped course link above for the actual road and gates.

START / CROWD

Use the opening to identify a safe line among the racers. Avoid trying to squeeze between two opponents when large obstacles are close.

How to recognize it

Let the field separate before making high-risk overtakes.

Shortcuts, forks and checkpoints

17 alternative lines are recorded for this route configuration, and 3 checkpoints are documented in the course database. That does not mean each branch is faster, marked in-game as a shortcut or safe for every vehicle. The atlas has top-down and 3D geometry; inspect it before committing to a fork.

  1. Open the matching main-forward route in the atlas and identify the checkpoint sequence.
  2. Find any alternate branch and verify its rejoin before making a speed comparison.
  3. Run the same version in Arcade, where possible, and complete two clean attempts on the normal line.
  4. Test one alternative at a time, using finish time and crash count to judge the trade-off.

IDS has not personally driven this game or extracted checkpoint coordinates. We do not claim a specific left-right turn or shortest line without matching gameplay/map evidence.
