01 / ALL FIVE TEAM ROLES

Who does what—and why

General Skywalker authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
1 / Leader / Advance & Cover

General Skywalker

General of the 501st prevents revivals and keeps other clones from losing Health while he is Advancing.

ARC Trooper authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
2 / Damage / Blaster Turret

ARC Trooper

Deploy and command the Blaster Turret for additional coordinated fire, rather than treating the summon as a sixth roster slot.

CT-21-0408 Echo authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
3 / Control / Buff dispel

CT-21-0408 Echo

EMP Grenade clears enemy buffs. Its Stun affects Droids specifically; this is not the Bad Batch Echo.

CT-5555 Fives authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
4 / Tank / Tactical Awareness

CT-5555 Fives

At the upgraded tier, Fives sacrifices himself to rescue another 501st Clone and then transfers stats to surviving clones.

CT-7567 Rex authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
5 / Tempo / Aerial Advantage

CT-7567 Rex

Form Up cleanses and supplies Tenacity Up and Turn Meter; his finisher gains power from prior allied Clone Trooper turns.

Only characters with the qualifying faction tags and upgraded abilities receive their expected benefits. Similar names do not establish interchangeable roles.

02 / TEAM MECHANICS

What keeps this squad running

General of the 501st

The fully upgraded leader prevents all unit revivals. While another 501st ally lives, Skywalker cannot lose Health; at full Protection he Advances, Taunting while other 501st allies cannot lose Health, and at zero Protection he takes untargetable Cover.

The Chosen One versus the leader

The Chosen One is Skywalker's separate Unique. Do not confuse its cooldown and critical-hit effects with the anti-revive/Advance rules on the General of the 501st Leader ability.

Tactical Awareness (Fives)

A qualifying would-be defeat of another 501st Clone can cause Fives to save that clone and sacrifice himself, sharing Max Health, Max Protection, Speed and Offense. A normal defeat of Fives does not pass those stats.

Rex and Echo

Form Up removes allied debuffs and gives Clone Troopers Turn Meter at the applicable tier. Aerial Advantage scales with earlier Clone turns. Echo dispels enemy buffs, but only Droids are Stunned by the matching EMP condition.

03 / SIX CONDITIONAL BATTLE STAGES

Decide what to do next, not just which button to press

Use the actual enemy team, status icons and active game mode. This is not a guaranteed move order or a replay.

  1. Identify the complete five: Check GAS leads ARC, CT-21-0408 Echo, Fives and CT-7567 Rex. Bad Batch Echo and Captain Rex are different units; do not substitute them based on names.
  2. Scout enemy control and targeting: Read pre-battle Speed, Taunt bypass, status effects and Datacron bonuses. A capable enemy can force GAS into Cover and then attack the clones.
  3. Protect the first Clone turn: Rex's Form Up can cleanse a key debuff wave and supply Tenacity Up. Don't spend it just because it's ready if a more disruptive enemy turn is imminent.
  4. Coordinate attacks: Use ARC's turret and 501st Echo's buff dispel when enemy buffs actually matter. Echo does not automatically Stun non-Droids.
  5. Understand a Fives sacrifice: If a 501st clone is about to be defeated, the upgraded Tactical Awareness may trigger. Only that special rescue death transfers Fives's stats.
  6. Finish using the correct window: Use Rex's Aerial Advantage after enough allied Clone turns for a meaningful hit. Re-evaluate each time GAS transitions from Advance to Cover or a clone falls.

For one specific documented offensive case, see GAS versus Talzin attack. Historical GAC matchups are not current win predictions.

INTERACTIVE / TEAM DECISION DESK

Why is this squad losing?

Select the first decisive problem. Responses explain published ability conditions; they do not read your account.

GAS is not acting from Cover

At zero Protection GAS takes Cover while other 501st allies live. His Speed becomes zero and he cannot be targeted; he recovers Protection through turns. Protect the four clones rather than relying on him to keep Taunting.

INTERACTIVE / GAME MODE COMPARISON

Which parts actually work in my mode?

Grand Arena · 5v5

All five slots support the full General of the 501st cycle, Tactical Awareness, and Rex's scaling finisher. No special 5v5 Omicron is being claimed for this configuration.

Before you attack: Compare the defender, equipped Datacron, relic gap and current season samples before spending this expensive attack.

04 / WHEN YOUR FIVE IS INCOMPLETE

Which substitutions change the plan?

Don't mix up the two Echos

CT-21-0408 Echo is a 501st Clone with EMP Grenade. Bad Batch Echo has a different kit.

Don't mix up the two Rexes

CT-7567 Rex is not Captain Rex, whose 5v5 Phoenix and 3v3 Clone Omicron clauses are separate.

Consider a cheaper counter

GAS can be an expensive resource in GAC. An equivalent clear by a smaller squad may preserve stronger future attacks.

Three slots are not five

A 3v3 lineup loses two roles. The missing effects must be evaluated rather than assumed.

06 / QUESTIONS PLAYERS ASK

Short answers before investing

Which ability prevents revivals?

General of the 501st, General Skywalker's Leader ability. The Chosen One is a different Unique.

Does Fives always pass stats when he dies?

No. The stat transfer requires the qualifying Tactical Awareness sacrifice.

Can I replace Rex with Captain Rex?

That changes the roster and ability effects; don't treat the two Rex characters as interchangeable.
