INTERACTIVE / OFFENSIVE GUIDE FINDER
Choose a strategy for the defense you see
Search by attacker, defender or ability. Filter solo/full squads and genuine 5v5/3v3 guide formats; the historical season selector changes external evidence, not the guide's battle size. These are twelve source-linked attacking guides, including solo Nest and solo Wampa resource-saving options plus actual 3v3 and 5v5 lineup distinctions.

Check exact lineups and upgrades before using any historic result. The five-unit plans do not automatically work in 3v3.

ATTACK FILE 01 / HISTORICAL EXAMPLE
Darth Traya versus Geonosians
Defensive mechanic: Hive Mind, Brute Taunt and mass assists.
Required preparation: Traya's Compassion is Weakness leader Zeta, a suitably geared Sith team and a workable Isolate plan.
When this may fail: Insufficient Sith durability, a modified Datacron or a stronger Geonosian lineup can reverse the historical result.
Historic defense: Mon Mothma, Cara Dune and Kyle Katarn.
When it may fail: Luthen Rael, new Rebel Fighter allies, slow Troopers, lost Dark Trooper stacks or a new Datacron can invalidate the older 3v3 example.
Why it may fail: Great Mothers or a different Nightsister fifth, Merrin's Omicron, missing GAS upgrades, or current Datacrons. GAS may also be overkill.
Attacker requirements: Enfys Nest alone; Fighting Instinct Zeta and enough Tenacity and durability to resist Logray's Daze.
When this may fail: Princess Kneesaa, Logray control, contemporary Ewok/Paploo Datacrons or insufficient Tenacity can invalidate the older 24–0 result.
These are authentic Galaxy of Heroes interface images from EA and its community forums. They teach where to look for the Grand Arena map, status icons and unit kits. They do not show a documented Traya, Wampa or Bad Batch victory, and no win rate is inferred from them.

TACTICAL BRIEF / SIX QUESTIONS
Before spending an attack
Have you identified every defending unit?
An unexpected ally can add Taunt, Daze, revives or bonus turns.
Are you in GAC, 5v5 or 3v3?
Omicrons and the number of allied slots can change which tactic works.
Are required Zetas, Omicrons and teammates present?
Missing an ability can remove the interaction that justified the counter.
Does your speed order still work?
Check opening turn order, enemy assists and possible Turn Meter changes.
Do enemy Datacrons or relics change the matchup?
Investigate control resistance, survivability, target access and bonus turns.
Are published results actually comparable?
Match both full teams, game format and sample size. Do not assume a headline win percentage guarantees success.
MATCHUP WARNING / RESEARCH BEFORE ATTACKING
A common mistake: Phoenix versus Padmé
Phoenix Squadron is built around assists and bonus Turn Meter. Against an upgraded Padmé-led Galactic Republic defense, both features become liabilities: Padmé's Always a Choice can give a Galactic Republic ally 40% unpreventable, undispellable Protection Up after an out-of-turn enemy attack. The same Unique prevents bonus Turn Meter gains and losses. Padmé's leader can convert her team's Protection Up into Courage and bonus damage.
YOUR OFFENSE
Phoenix with Captain Rex
Hera-led Phoenix often uses Special abilities, assists and Turn Meter gains. Check whether those actions are giving the enemy additional protection while your own team loses its expected speed advantage.
THE DEFENDING RESPONSE
Padmé's Galactic Republic
Read the exact opponent: leader Padmé, Galactic Republic allies, her Unique upgrade and any Datacron. A result observed against a non-Padmé squad does not establish this matchup as safe.
Try these matchup decisions using the real ability restrictions shown in the Galaxy of Heroes kit database. Choose an answer and check the result. The exercise teaches conditions, not a fabricated live win prediction.
CASE 01 / OPPOSING DEFENSE
Padmé stands in front of Phoenix
You have a Captain Rex and Hera Phoenix team. The defending Galactic Republic squad is led by an upgraded Padmé Amidala.
Select a call to see the mechanical reason.
Ability evidence
With Padmé leading, her fully upgraded Unique grants 40% non-dispellable Protection Up after out-of-turn attacks against Galactic Republic allies and prevents bonus Turn Meter gains or losses. Read Always a Choice ↗.
CASE 02 / OFFENSE SETUP
Your Wampa has one extra ally
You're preparing Wampa for an Iden Versio defense in Grand Arena. Wampa has its Cornered Beast Omicron, but you accidentally placed a second character in the attacking team.
Select a call to see the mechanical reason.
Ability evidence
Wampa's Cornered Beast adds Grand Arena-specific benefits when no other allies are active at battle start. It does not establish a guaranteed win against every Iden composition. Read Wampa's current ability ↗.
CASE 03 / GAME FORMAT
Captain Rex moves from 5v5 to 3v3
You're using Hera, Captain Rex, and Chopper in 3v3 Grand Arena. Someone claims you'll receive Rex's special 3v3 Armor Shred effect.
Select a call to see the mechanical reason.
Ability evidence
Rex's 5v5 Grand Arena condition checks for all-Phoenix allies. His different 3v3 condition requires all allies to be Clone Troopers at battle start. Read The Lost Commander ↗.
These simulations are educational and store no answers or account information. Compare actual battle rosters, relic levels, Datacrons and game mode before spending a real attack.
FORMAT-AWARE RESEARCH
Why the battle format matters
SEASON 84 / 5V5
Original five-unit playbooks
Traya's Sith and Bad Batch examples explain full-team approaches. Confirm enemy and friendly speed, upgrades and Datacrons in the observed records.
SEASON 83 / 3V3
Three slots change the tactics
Removing two allies can remove required support. The format selector shows historical 3v3 records, not an independently tested shorter version of the full-squad guide.
These two seasons were selected for the October 2026 editorial review. The SWGOH.GG current season browser ↗ is the better starting point for later Grand Arena rounds.
EVIDENCE / IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
A documented candidate is not a guaranteed counter
Each linked attacker walkthrough cites published unit kits and historic strategy/community discussions. No guide claims firsthand testing or an independently verified Season 84 win rate for the proposed team. Always compare live defensive abilities and the correct battle format. If none of the twelve plans applies, the Counter Desk offers a wider 16-defender research index.
