General Skywalker's 501st versus Talzin Nightsisters
A 501st option for dismantling the classic Talzin–Merrin revive cycle. The January 2026 archive records 28 wins and no losses for the exact GAS/ARC/Echo/Fives/Rex offense against Talzin, Asajj, Merrin, Zombie and Daka. Those are historical battles, not a guaranteed current-season win probability. This may also be an expensive team to spend on a lower-value defense.
The January 15, 2026 detailed counter table reports 28 winning GAS/501st attacks and zero recorded losses against this exact Nightsister five. The result documents that matchup in that archive, not how it would perform against every present-day Datacron.
Other Nightsister fifths or Great Mothers use different ability rules. GAS's 501st can be valuable against harder defenses elsewhere. Choose this higher-investment offense only when the battle is worth it and your actual five are comparable.
03CT-21-0408 EchoBuff dispel / support (not Bad Batch Echo)
04CT-5555 FivesTactical Awareness sacrifice and protection
05CT-7567 RexTenacity Up, Turn Meter and Aerial Advantage
Do not substitute Bad Batch Echo for CT-21-0408 Echo or Captain Rex for CT-7567 Rex. The archived 28–0 battle record depends on the listed original 501st team. ARC Trooper's Blaster Turret is a summon, not a sixth manually selected attacker.
The core insight is revival denial and keeping the clones alive through GAS Cover and Plague.
03 / SOURCE-VERIFIED KIT CONDITIONS
Why the 501st can change the revive battle
GENERAL SKYWALKER / THE CHOSEN ONE
Revive prevention and Cover
GAS's leadership prevents revival for all units at the final tier. He takes Cover when his Protection reaches zero while 501st allies remain, cannot be targeted during Cover, and returns after regaining full Protection. This is a distinct anti-revival strategy—not an instruction to defeat Zombie endlessly.
FIVES / TACTICAL AWARENESS
One defensive sacrifice
When another 501st Clone Trooper would be defeated, fully upgraded Fives heals that clone and is defeated at the end of the turn, passing his Max Health, Max Protection, Speed and Offense to surviving 501st Clone Troopers. This is a one-time rescue, not unlimited revival.
REX / AERIAL ADVANTAGE
Finishing power builds with clone turns
The Rex named here is CT-7567, not the newer Captain Rex. Aerial Advantage begins on cooldown and adds a portion of the target's Max Health for each prior allied Clone Trooper turn. Tenacity Up is valuable when facing repeated Plague and disruption.
MERRIN / GAC OMICRON
The opponent's intended revive loop
Merrin gains significant Turn Meter when Nightsisters are defeated or revived under her GAC Omicron, and inflicts Plague at the start of her turn. GAS's anti-revive can interrupt some of the cycle, but Merrin's ability and any Instant Defeat Immunity still need to be checked in the actual fight.
Resource decision: Is GAS overkill?
A successful GAS clear can still be poor Grand Arena resource allocation if a cheaper squad safely handles the same defense. Compare other available attacking teams and reserve expensive counters for demanding opponents when appropriate.

Decision 1 / 428 historical wins · not a guarantee
01 / VERIFY
DECISION 1 / FOUR
Check Talzin's exact team
The historic sample is Talzin, Asajj, Merrin, Nightsister Zombie and Old Daka versus all five original GAS/501st units.
Adaptation: Great Mothers, Spirit, an altered fifth or Datacron means a different defensive matchup.
02 / ADVANCE
DECISION 2 / FOUR
Understand Advance and Cover
GAS Taunts and protects the 501st, then takes Cover when he reaches zero Protection. His fully upgraded leader also blocks revivals.
Adaptation: When GAS takes Cover, the clones can take damage; build the team's actual survivability rather than assuming permanent immunity.
03 / PROTECT
DECISION 3 / FOUR
Preserve the 501st sacrifice
Fives's upgraded Tactical Awareness can rescue a threatened fellow 501st Clone and share his stats after sacrificing himself.
Adaptation: Plague, ability lockout or lost 501st clones can make the support window expensive or unsafe.
04 / FINISH
DECISION 4 / FOUR
Find a real permanent elimination
Rex's Aerial Advantage grows with Clone Trooper turns. GAS anti-revive and coordinated attacks make Nightsister attrition more manageable.
Adaptation: A modern Omicron or immunity may disrupt the expected elimination; check current ability text, not an old win percentage.
04 / CONDITIONAL BATTLE WALKTHROUGH
Six checks during the fight
These steps are conditional kit priorities, not a guaranteed chronological transcript from a recorded victory.
01
Confirm the exact Nightsister five
The strongest documented 5v5 row pairs GAS/ARC/Echo/Fives/Rex against Talzin, Asajj, Merrin, Zombie and Daka. A Nightsister Spirit, Great Mothers or Morgan Elsbeth lineup has different mechanics and separate evidence.
02
Check General Skywalker's leader kit
The Chosen One prevents all units from being revived at its fully upgraded tier. When other 501st allies are active GAS cannot lose Health, but he takes Cover at zero Protection. Do not assume he remains targetable and attacking continuously.
03
Build a survivable opening for the four 501st clones
CT-7567 Rex can grant Tenacity Up, while ARC assists and 501st Echo's EMP Grenade dispels enemy buffs. Echo's grenade Stuns Droids, not Nightsisters; avoid claiming a free Nightsister Stun.
04
Read Zombie's Taunt before spending attacks
Zombie can recur while teammates remain, but GAS's anti-revive leadership can prevent normal revivals. Check if a summon, immunity, or active Datacron changes the actual interaction before copying the historic record.
05
Preserve Fives and the 501st clone core
With Tactical Awareness upgraded, Fives can sacrifice himself to rescue another 501st Clone Trooper from defeat and pass his stats to surviving clones. He cannot be revived; intentionally losing him early can still sacrifice banners and protection.
06
Use Rex's finisher only when its timing matters
Aerial Advantage starts on cooldown and increases damage based on the turns allied Clone Troopers have taken. Evaluate whether Talzin, Merrin or Daka is legally reachable and how GAS will respond when his Protection reaches zero.

My Nightsister target keeps reviving
Verify whether The Chosen One leader tier is active, whether GAS actually leads, and whether a special immunity, Datacron or alternate defender changes the interaction. Do not mistake a different Skywalker for General Skywalker.
General Skywalker sits down in Cover
At zero Protection GAS takes Cover while other 501st allies remain; he cannot be targeted, moves at zero Speed and restores Protection through turns. Surviving clones are the immediate defensive priority.
Fives dies but the other clones gain nothing
Tactical Awareness passes stats when Fives is defeated by its own rescue trigger, not every time he is defeated. Check the ability level and which 501st Clone Trooper was threatened.
Merrin applies too much Plague
Her Grand Arena Omicron and Vengeful Bond can accelerate turns and Plague. Check upgraded kit, whether allied revivals are succeeding, and the protection of your 501st before focusing only on offense.
My lineup has Captain Rex instead of CT-7567 Rex
Captain Rex is a separate character with different Phoenix and 3v3 Clone bonuses. The January 2026 exact sample uses CT-7567 Rex, ARC Trooper, CT-21-0408 Echo and CT-5555 Fives.
