The original Bad Batch has historical 5v5 Grand Arena records against Qui-Gon Jinn's Jedi. A January 2026 archive documents 134 successful and 5 failed Hunter/Echo/Omega/Tech/Wrecker attacks on one exact Qui-Gon/Aayla/Anakin/Ki-Adi-Mundi/Mace lineup. That is not a current-season success forecast. Control Jedi Knight Anakin, verify the Qui-Gon Omicron, and prepare for the powerful effects triggered by the leader's defeat.

HISTORICAL FIVE-ON-FIVE EVIDENCE
Named Qui-Gon / Anakin Jedi
The January 15, 2026 matchup table includes a Hunter/Echo/Omega/Tech/Wrecker attack against Qui-Gon, Aayla, Anakin, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Mace. The archived row records 134 wins and 5 losses. The source reports older player battles, not independently verified Season 84 success.
Some fifth-slot combinations and Datacrons are much stronger. Confirm if the Qui-Gon Omicron qualifies and read Jedi Knight Anakin's current bonus-turn behavior. No alternative lineup is automatically equivalent.
02Echo (Bad Batch)Dispel Foresight, Daze and healing control
03TechStun targets already Dazed or Target Locked
04WreckerTank, Furious and protection
05OmegaStealth, Protection Up and offense
The Bad Batch Echo is a different playable character from CT-21-0408 Echo. Mercenary Hunter or Omega (Fugitive) also cannot replace the archived original five without fresh evidence.
Dispel Foresight, control Anakin and survive the post-Qui-Gon retaliation.
03 / ABILITY RULES
Four mechanics that determine the result
ABILITY 01
Qui-Gon Jinn / Agility Training
In Grand Arena, if all starting allies are Jedi and no Galactic Legends are present, Qui-Gon's Omicron prevents his other allies from being defeated while he lives. On his defeat, allies restore 100% Health/Protection and gain a large Offense bonus. The exact leader upgrade changes your legal kill order.
ABILITY 02
Jedi Knight Anakin / Righteous Fury
When another ally falls below 50% Health or is defeated, Anakin gains a bonus turn. A qualifying Galactic Republic starting lineup increases the next attack's damage. Make sure he is under control before triggering the Qui-Gon death transition.
ABILITY 03
Echo and Tech / control combination
Echo's full Never Any Doubt removes enemy buffs and applies Daze plus Healing Immunity without being evaded or resisted. Tech's Brilliant Idea Stuns opponents that are already Dazed or Target Locked. The Stun requires the actual status condition.
ABILITY 04
Hunter, Wrecker and Omega / survival
Hunter's Finish What We Started passes Turn Meter to another Clone Trooper and provides a targeting/Stun benefit for Bad Batch. Wrecker absorbs the opponent's retaliation. Omega adds Protection Up and assists; these units are the original Bad Batch, not later Mercenary variants.
One critical warning:
Qui-Gon's death is necessary against a qualifying cannot-be-defeated Omicron, but it is also the event that empowers Anakin and the surviving Jedi. Plan the second phase before beginning the first.

Decision 1 / 4January 2026 historical counter example
01 / SCOUT
TACTICAL DECISION 1 / 04
Identify the original recorded Jedi five
The named historical comparison uses Qui-Gon, Aayla Secura, Jedi Knight Anakin, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Mace Windu. Similar archived rows include other Jedi fifths.
If conditions change: A Galactic Legend, newer Datacron or replacement fifth requires separate research.
02 / CLEAR FORESIGHT
TACTICAL DECISION 2 / 04
Echo removes buffs and establishes Daze
At full ability tier, Never Any Doubt cannot be evaded or resisted and can remove Foresight. Use the control window to prepare Tech's follow-up.
If conditions change: If Echo never gets an action before Anakin, the historic opening is no longer available.
03 / CONTROL ANAKIN
TACTICAL DECISION 3 / 04
Tech's Stun is conditional
Brilliant Idea can Stun enemies already suffering Daze or Target Lock. Controlling Anakin's bonus-turn threat is important before Qui-Gon falls.
If conditions change: Without Daze or Target Lock, no automatic Stun is promised.
04 / PREPARE RETALIATION
TACTICAL DECISION 4 / 04
Time the Qui-Gon defeat safely
With a qualifying Omicron active, other Jedi cannot die before Qui-Gon; his death then fully restores and empowers survivors. Keep Wrecker's tanking and Omega's support available.
If conditions change: Anakin's triggered bonus turn and the restored Jedi can end the attack even after Qui-Gon is gone.
04 / CONDITIONAL ATTACK
Six tactical decisions for the encounter
This is a reasoning guide, not a fixed attack animation or a promised win. Verify the actual Speed, Omicron effects, Stun prerequisites and Datacrons.
01
Scout every enemy, especially Anakin
Compare the exact five with the January 2026 sample. Qui-Gon's GAC Omicron requires an all-Jedi starting team without a Galactic Legend; Datacrons may alter the opening.
02
Confirm the original Bad Batch five
Use Hunter, Echo (Bad Batch), Tech, Wrecker and Omega. Omega (Fugitive), Hunter (Mercenary), and other later Bad Batch units are not interchangeable with these recorded attackers.
03
Let Echo remove Foresight and apply Daze
Never Any Doubt dispels buffs and inflicts Daze and Healing Immunity. Its fully upgraded action cannot be evaded or resisted, helping Tech establish a conditional Stun.
04
Control Anakin before the critical defeat
Tech's Brilliant Idea Stuns Dazed/Target Locked foes. Anakin's Righteous Fury grants an extra turn when another ally is defeated or drops below 50% Health.
05
Use Hunter's Turn Meter exchange deliberately
Move the relevant Bad Batch ally into position to attack or protect the team. Keep Wrecker able to absorb the buffed Jedi retaliation and Omega able to provide Protection Up.
06
Defeat Qui-Gon only with a survivable follow-up
The other Jedi are protected against defeat while a qualifying Omicron Qui-Gon remains active. When he dies, they recover Health/Protection and gain Offense; the dangerous phase may begin rather than end.
Read the battlefield: If Anakin moves unexpectedly or a new Datacron changes buff behavior, adapt instead of copying an old win clip.
INTERACTIVE / FAILURE ANALYSIS
Which mechanic caused the problem?
Select the earliest decisive issue; this guide does not read your SWGOH roster or replay.
Why won't Jedi Knight Anakin die?
The qualifying Qui-Gon Grand Arena Omicron prevents other allied Jedi from being defeated while Qui-Gon remains alive. The leader must be dealt with before a permanent elimination is possible.
Why did Anakin take an extra turn?
Righteous Fury gives Anakin a bonus turn when another ally falls below half Health or is defeated. Check the trigger and his current debuffs before assuming the next turn belongs to Bad Batch.
Why didn't Tech Stun him?
Brilliant Idea's Stun applies only if the target is already Dazed or Target Locked. Echo's Never Any Doubt can supply the prerequisite, provided Tech acts in the right window.
Why did the Jedi become stronger after Qui-Gon died?
Qui-Gon's GAC Omicron grants surviving allies full Health/Protection recovery and an Offense surge when he falls. Protect Wrecker and do not spend all control before the transition.
Why doesn't my five match archived outcomes?
Different Jedi fifths, newer Bad Batch variants, missing upgrades, Datacrons and Speed gaps materially change the scenario. The January 2026 records are not current win probability predictions.
