IDS ATTACK OPERATIONS / PLAYBOOK 02

Solo Wampa against Iden Versio

Wampa's Cornered Beast Omicron boosts solo survival and offense in Grand Arena. Iden is a historically familiar Wampa matchup, but Scout Trooper, Daze, a high-Potency control effect, or a Datacron can undermine it. The squad composition is a hard requirement, not optional flavor.

01 / MATCHUP ELIGIBILITY

When this attack is worth considering

POSSIBLE FIT

Use this as a scouting candidate

A Grand Arena Iden composition whose enemy control and Datacron do not prevent Wampa from acting or counterattacking; Wampa has the relevant Omicron and sufficient relic/mod durability.

CAUTION

When to decline

Avoid assuming solo Wampa survives an enemy Scout Trooper's unresistable Daze, unusually high-Potency stun, or an Iden Datacron that defeats the sustain loop. Do not use this guide for Territory Wars: the Omicron is Grand Arena-only.

Evidence level: Historically reported Wampa vs Iden attack. Known modern countermeasures include Scout Trooper and Datacron control; do not treat it as safe without a lineup audit. Before committing, open the actual season statistics and compare the entire enemy lineup with your available units. A matchup recommended several years ago may now depend on a Datacron, a kit adjustment or a changed fifth character.

Team roles above explain the intended mechanic, not a requirement to own every optional character. A five-character list can only enter 5v5. In 3v3, no guide can claim that removing two allies preserves the same battle results. For solo Wampa, the four empty slots are intentionally essential to the Omicron, not a recommendation to fill them.

03 / ABILITY TRIGGERS

What must work for the plan to succeed?

KIT INTERACTION 01

Cornered Beast's solo requirement

The Grand Arena Omicron grants major stat bonuses only when there are no other active allies at the start of battle. Entering with a support ally disables that bonus, even if the ally is defeated later.

KIT INTERACTION 02

Tenacity grows after attacks

Wampa gains additional Tenacity as it is damaged while the Omicron is active. That does not guarantee resistance against high-Potency opponents or unavoidable debuffs.

KIT INTERACTION 03

Furious Foe and sustained offense

Furious Foe begins on cooldown, adds offensive stats and Healing Immunity, and has its cooldown shortened while Wampa takes attacks in its Omicron condition. Plan around survival rather than expecting a turn-zero instant kill.

KIT INTERACTION 04

Iden's anti-assist and revival mechanics

Exactly as Planned and We Adapt, Or Die can change recovery and revive patterns depending on Omicron and Imperial Trooper lineup. Inspect the four partners and their tags before choosing targets.

These summaries describe fully upgraded kit mechanics. If a Zeta, Omicron, special ability tier or faction restriction is missing from your account, the sequence below may not apply. Verify those terms through the primary character references in the source desk. The game interface is the final authority on your unit's actual upgrade level.

TACTICAL DECISION 01 / 04

Bring no active allies

Check Grand Arena mode, Cornered Beast Omicron and the solo slot configuration before selecting battle.

If the battle changes: An extra active ally at battle start removes the relevant solo condition.

04 / CONDITIONAL OPENING WALKTHROUGH

Six decisions for your attack

Use this sequence to reason about the next action. Do not interpret it as an automated battle or a guaranteed win path. A resisted debuff, a different first turn or an unexpected Datacron effect must change the plan.

  1. 01

    Confirm it is Grand Arena

Do not assume the Wampa Omicron works in Territory Wars or ordinary PvE. Both 5v5 and 3v3 GAC allow a solo attacker, but the defending composition is different.

  2. 02

Leave every other ally slot empty

Check the battle-entry screen carefully. Cornered Beast's solo modifier is determined at the start; accidentally adding a teammate can invalidate the plan.

  3. 03

    Inspect Iden's exact partners

Look for Scout Trooper, enemy unresistable Daze, unusual high-Potency control, current datacrons and a revive-enabling Trooper lineup. Any of these can make the apparent counter much less safe.

  4. 04

Survive and begin your counter cycle

Wampa's Counter Chance, Tenacity and DoT interactions reward absorbing manageable enemy attacks. Avoid an opponent who can keep Wampa Dazed or Stunned long enough to stop this engine.

  5. 05

    Time Furious Foe correctly

It starts on cooldown. Once available, consider Healing Immunity and stacking offense to overcome Iden's Protection and revive cycle. A mistaken early target may allow the opposing team to reset.

  6. 06

    Reassess an unexpected control effect

If Wampa remains Dazed, Stunned or unable to counter, stop relying on historic solo reports and plan a backup attacking team. Do not send a second weak squad before checking leftover enemy Turn Meter.

When something unexpected happens:

Recheck the exact target restriction, enemy Taunt, cooldown, turn meter, and whether an ally or summoned unit triggered a separate effect. The reason for failure is often visible in a kit clause that was not active in the example that inspired the counter.

INTERACTIVE / FAILURE DIAGNOSIS

What went wrong?

Choose the problem closest to the first decisive error in the fight. This is a troubleshooting reference, not a replay interpreter; it does not read your game account or infer which characters you actually own.

Scout Trooper keeps Wampa Dazed

Some Scout Trooper interactions inflict unresistable Daze, which can prevent Wampa's counter-attack engine. The problem may be the defender's exact fourth/fifth unit, not insufficient Wampa Tenacity.

Wampa is repeatedly Stunned

High enemy Potency or an altered Datacron can overwhelm the expected resistance. Additional Tenacity is not an absolute protection from unavoidable effects.

Wampa has no extra solo stats

Verify that Cornered Beast's Omicron is actually installed and there were zero other allies at battle start. A companion who dies immediately still invalidates the condition.

The Troopers keep reviving

Iden's We Adapt, Or Die and Unique can create multiple survival triggers. Study the active upgrades, then keep the necessary damage and sustain for a permanent elimination.

It works for someone else but not me

Their Wampa relics, Tenacity, current Datacron and the enemy's exact lineup may differ. An older successful attack is a starting hypothesis, not personal win-rate evidence.
