DOSSIER 01 / GALACTIC LEAGUE PERSONNEL
Shade
Player protagonist01 / Identity and history
Who is Shade?
From Gathleon, Shade turned to cargo piloting after Kestar Bool's influence made League racing inaccessible. Kestar's actions, including Shade's injuries, fuel a determination to challenge him.
Although races reward an individual pilot, each competitor operates within a larger structure of teams, workshops, patrons and social pressure. The League's expansion after the Empire's fall changes who can enter the sport and who retains enough money or power to shape its rules.

Culture, institutions and material life
Access to a glamorous sport is tied to wealth and patronage. Shade challenges the conversion of mining-family power into athletic prestige.
