IDS TEAM LAB / DATHOMIR / PLAGUE & REVIVAL

Master the Nightsister Plague and revive engine

A full five-unit strategy for Mother Talzin, Asajj Ventress, Merrin, Nightsister Zombie and Old Daka. Understand Plague, Merrin's qualifying Grand Arena Omicron, limited rescue charges and the enemy's ability to stop revivals.

01 / ALL FIVE TEAM ROLES

Who does what—and why

Mother Talzin authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
1 / Leader / Plague

Mother Talzin

The Great Mother supports Nightsisters and Special-based Plague; Dark Magick damages through Protection.

Asajj Ventress authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
2 / Dispel / Rampage

Asajj Ventress

Strike Fear removes enemy buffs and heals allies; Rampage can build offensive stats, with GAC-specific Omicron conditions.

Merrin authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
3 / Plague / bonus Turn Meter

Merrin

Last of the Nightsisters sets Speed to zero while allies live, then rewards specific defeat/revive events; qualifying GAC Omicron adds turns and Plague.

Nightsister Zombie authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
4 / Tank / Undying Sacrifice

Nightsister Zombie

Repeated revivals require surviving Nightsister allies; Undying Sacrifice protects the first two eligible other Nightsister deaths.

Old Daka authentic Galaxy of Heroes character artwork
5 / Healer / Chant of Resurrection

Old Daka

Heals and can revive Nightsister teammates, supplying an important recovery action if she survives to act.

Only characters with the qualifying faction tags and upgraded abilities receive their expected benefits. Similar names do not establish interchangeable roles.

02 / TEAM MECHANICS

What keeps this squad running

Talzin's Plague and healing limit

Great Mother supports Plague application and speed/potency; Dark Magick ignores Protection. A unit healed back to full Health loses its Plague stacks, so spreading damage without a finish can fail.

Merrin's two separate turn effects

With allies alive Merrin's Speed is set to zero. Baseline Last of the Nightsisters has first-defeat and partial Turn Meter triggers; in eligible GAC without Galactic Legends, the Omicron grants 100% Turn Meter after ally defeats or revives and inflicts Plague at her turn start.

Zombie's finite rescue charges

Undying Sacrifice saves the first two qualifying other Nightsister deaths from enemy attacks, killing and reviving Zombie in their place. Endless Horde has negative-Speed interactions. These effects are not unlimited allied revives.

Old Daka and Asajj

Chant of Resurrection heals and revives allied Nightsisters if Daka can act. Asajj's Strike Fear dispels buffs; Rampage effects can grow over unit deaths, with GAC-specific clauses requiring their proper upgrades.

03 / SIX CONDITIONAL BATTLE STAGES

Decide what to do next, not just which button to press

Use the actual enemy team, status icons and active game mode. This is not a guaranteed move order or a replay.

  1. Check the defense for anti-revive: General Skywalker's leader prevents revivals. Revive denial, Instant Defeat and some Datacrons can invalidate Zombie, Daka and Merrin's usual death cycle.
  2. Apply Plague to a meaningful target: Talzin's Dark Magick damages Health through Protection and her Specials drive Plague; remember full healing removes all stacks.
  3. Understand why Merrin acts: She normally has zero Speed with allies; Vengeful Bond and Last of the Nightsisters, not traditional Speed tuning, create her turns.
  4. Protect the first two rescue events: Zombie's Undying Sacrifice saves only the first two eligible allied defeats. Know whether each rescue actually triggered.
  5. Spend Daka and Asajj turns deliberately: Reserve Chant of Resurrection for a valuable revive and use Asajj's buff removal where it changes the outcome.
  6. Finish without losing the revive engine: Check target Health, buffs and Plague; preserve Daka and Zombie. If an enemy heals to full, reassess rather than repeating the same sequence.

For one specific documented offensive case, see Talzin versus Finn/Zorii attack. Historical GAC matchups are not current win predictions.

INTERACTIVE / TEAM DECISION DESK

Why is this squad losing?

Select the first decisive problem. Responses explain published ability conditions; they do not read your account.

Plague keeps disappearing

A target healed to full Health loses Plague stacks. Change target, control the enemy healer, or focus Health damage instead of adding stacks without a finish.

INTERACTIVE / GAME MODE COMPARISON

Which parts actually work in my mode?

Grand Arena · 5v5

This full five allows Talzin's Plague leader, Merrin's eligible Grand Arena Omicron, Zombie's two other-ally rescue events and Daka's recovery to interact.

Before you attack: Check actual installed Omicrons, Galactic Legend eligibility, enemy anti-revive effects and your Datacron.

04 / WHEN YOUR FIVE IS INCOMPLETE

Which substitutions change the plan?

Missing Merrin

The original four can still function but lose Merrin's GAC Turn Meter and Plague contribution; do not reuse exact historical five-member counter results.

Missing Daka

Without Chant of Resurrection the team lacks a vital group recovery and revive option.

Great Mothers versus Talzin

Great Mothers-led teams have different kits and should be documented separately.

General Skywalker as a threat

The GAS leader prevents revivals; it is a concrete example of a team that interferes with this revive engine.

05 / MODS, GEAR AND UPGRADES

Improve the mechanic that failed

Mother TalzinSpeed, Potency, HealthApply Plague early and survive disruptive openings.
Asajj VentressOffense, Crit Damage, adequate SpeedScale damage and arrive in time to strip enemy buffs.

Nightsister ZombieHealth, survivabilityKeep a protective tank active and respect negative-Speed/revive conditions.
Old DakaMax Health and survivabilityHealing and revival are wasted if Daka is defeated or unable to take a turn.

06 / QUESTIONS PLAYERS ASK

Short answers before investing

Why can't I fix Merrin with Speed mods?

While she has allies Merrin's Speed is set to zero. Use Health, Potency and other survivability mods that support her kit instead.

Can Zombie revive everyone indefinitely?

No. Her Undying Sacrifice protects two eligible other-ally defeats; Endless Horde and enemy anti-revive rules also matter.

What if the opponent has General Skywalker lead?

General of the 501st prevents all revivals, so the Nightsister recovery plan is heavily compromised.
