- Step 1. After binding Horak-Mul, use the Fury galaxy map to travel back to Dromund Kaas for the planned confrontation.
- Step 2. Go to the Sith Sanctum in the Kaas City Citadel and find Darth Thanaton's meditation chamber.
- Step 3. Enter the class phase and confront Darth Thanaton while his meditation ritual has left him vulnerable.
- Step 4. Talk with Thanaton until the encounter changes to combat against him and his ally Rolan.
- Step 5. Defeat Rolan and any other enemies the current quest tracker lists during the confrontation.
- Step 6. Speak to Darth Thanaton again after the fight, even if combat has already ended in the chamber.
- Step 7. Finish the mission dialogue and follow The Price of Power; this is the Chapter 3 opening, not the original-story finale.
