The Jedi are simultaneously a religious tradition, an educational system, a political institution, a network of teachers and students, and at several points a military-adjacent order. Treating the Jedi only as individual heroes misses the rules, councils, rituals, archives, temples, training systems, and state relationships that shape their choices.
The IDS Jedi cluster separates those layers. The Jedi religion file focuses on belief, discipline, ritual, ethics, sacred objects, and the Force. The Jedi Order lore and organization files focus on institutional authority and historical structure. Culture pages examine the everyday norms that members learn. Timeline pages show how the Jedi's role changes from early history through the High Republic, the Clone Wars, Imperial destruction, and later attempts at renewal.
Character files make those structures concrete. Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Kanan Jarrus, and others do not simply possess Force abilities. They occupy different positions within or outside the institution, and their disagreements show how personal conscience and organizational authority can diverge.
