Kaliyo Djannis joins the Imperial Agent story as someone whose associations and motives remain unstable. In a profession that depends on verification, she forces the player to distinguish useful information from the comforting fiction of knowing an informant's true loyalty.

01 · Companion research
Background and family history
The Holonet describes conflicting reports about Kaliyo's employment with criminal syndicates, violent associates and anarchist circles. Even her claimed homeworld is qualified in official material. That uncertainty is an important part of her fictional record rather than an invitation to fill in the gaps with speculation. Her reputation is produced partly by hostile reports and partly by the performance she chooses to present.
02 · Companion research
Role in the Origin Story
Kaliyo joins the Imperial Agent's early operations around Hutta, entering a service built on classification, surveillance, cover identities and the management of informants. Her contempt for obedience contrasts with the expectations placed on Cipher Nine. Yet the Agent still relies on companions whose skills and contacts are not products of the Empire's formal training system.
03 · Companion research
Gameplay after joining the crew
Kaliyo is an early companion in the Imperial Agent's original narrative. Her gift and equipment descriptions in the old Holonet were published under systems that predate the game's later companion overhaul. Access and choices in later expansions may depend on prior character decisions.
04 · Companion research
Background and cultural interpretation
Kaliyo invites analysis of how state agencies label people as reliable, criminal, subversive or patriotic. The source trail itself models the problem: official reports, personal testimony and rumor overlap without producing a complete biography. A claim about ideology should not be inferred from a single violent action, and a useful source should not automatically be classified as loyal.
