Vector Hyllus provides a distinctive window into collective personhood, diplomacy and cultural translation across the Imperial Agent Origin Story. The file treats the Holonet account as published Legends background and distinguishes player-driven outcomes from IDS interpretation.

01 · Companion research
Background and family history
Vector Hyllus served in Imperial diplomacy before becoming associated with a Killik hive and its unusual shared mode of awareness. The official Holonet presents him as a person whose speech and perceptions change through joining, rather than someone whose prior life simply disappears. His new affiliations complicate the Empire's assumptions about political representation and the boundary between an individual's intention and collective preference.
02 · Companion research
Role in the Origin Story
The Imperial Agent meets Vector amid operations on Alderaan, where aristocratic politics, rival powers and the activities of the Killiks overlap. Vector can interpret social situations that a conventional intelligence officer would approach through surveillance or force. His crew role therefore exposes the difference between collecting information about a community and possessing relationships through which its members can explain themselves. Romantic choices and later companion status are contingent on the player's path.

Gameplay after joining the crew
Vector Hyllus belongs to the original Imperial Agent companion roster. Follow this class's story missions to establish the first recruitment and crew relationship, then consult the game's later Alliance missions separately if exploring post-launch encounters. The archived Holonet gift, stat and crafting figures reflect retired or heavily revised systems, so combat builds and influence decisions should be checked using current in-game information. Romance and narrative consequences can depend on the player's choices.

Background and cultural interpretation
Vector is especially productive for examining personhood and the social boundaries of the self. A collective mode of living does not necessarily erase every previous obligation, but neither can it be described adequately by ordinary imperial administrative categories. An analyst should avoid treating Killiks as a metaphor for human communities without explaining the fictional differences. The central question is how diplomatic institutions recognize agency where decisions emerge from relationships rather than the isolated individual.
