Connecting story · VERIFIED CHAPTER ORDER

Where to go first

The Imperial Prelude is four STORY Flashpoints in one exact order: Assault on Tython → Korriban Incursion → Depths of Manaan → Legacy of the Rakata. It has three Forged Alliances quest chapters, but four combat instances. Each chapter below identifies its starting contact, correct green door, mandatory objective console, boss mechanics, and story handoff.

Start: Vaiken Spacedock A7-M1 WEST ELEVATOR → Outbound Mission Hangar → Darth Arkous → [STORY] Assault on Tython → Arkous → [STORY] Korriban Incursion → Lana at Fleet Cantina.

Use the full map (default M), confirm the tracked purple mission in the log (default L), and switch to the current floor after a door or lift. Your chosen Combat Style determines combat abilities, but the Imperial campaign route applies to Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Imperial Agent and Bounty Hunter, with class-specific dialogue or scenes where applicable.

Evidence boundary: This guide verifies the named mission sequence and broad entrances from quest records. It does not claim to have personally tested every interior turn, lift or coordinate. Where exact navigation has not been verified, follow the named phase and the current in-game mission breadcrumb.

IMPERIAL FORGED ALLIANCES · FOUR STORY FLASHPOINTS

Where to go for each Flashpoint

Three mission chapters contain four Flashpoints. The first two use the same Imperial Fleet Outbound Mission Hangar; the third begins in Manaan's southern hallway; the fourth uses the Fleet hangar after Lana's handoff.

Forged Alliances questions players keep asking

Common questions from Reddit, SWTOR forums and established player guides. Player-reported fixes may vary by game version or character. Try ordinary mission objectives before resetting any phase. All answers are visible and link to their original source.

  1. A7-M1 won't offer Forged Alliances in 2026?

Players returning in 2026 report stricter access rules after Update 7.7.1: finish the Class Story, Ilum prelude and Rise of the Hutt Cartel on Makeb, then check A7-M1 by the Fleet western elevator. Some old guides promising an immediate Rishi skip no longer match every character. You also need the story's required level, listed as 53+.

  2. I beat the Flashpoint, but Part I / II / III did not advance?

Check for TWO related mission entries: Forged Alliances: Part I, II or III AND the corresponding [STORY] Flashpoint. A standalone repeatable, Veteran or Master clear can leave the Prelude incomplete. After each first-part Flashpoint, physically RETURN TO DARTH ARKOUS; after Manaan, return to LANA.

  3. My solo Combat Support Droid disappeared?

Click the BLUE SUMMON ICON beside the [STORY] Flashpoint quest, or use Activate Combat Support Droid under INVENTORY → MISSION ITEMS. If it vanished from both after abandoning another Story Flashpoint, the detailed guide says you may have to exit, abandon and RE-ACCEPT THE [STORY] Flashpoint (not the overarching Prelude), restarting that instance. Only reset when necessary.

  4. The guide says Darth Soverus or Lord Renning, but they're not here?

Those are REPUBLIC encounter names. IMPERIAL Korriban uses MASTER RIILNA, R9-XR SIEGE DROID and COMMANDER JENSYN. On IMPERIAL Tython you fight MAJOR IMOS, LIAM DENTIRI and MASTER ORIC TRALLESS. Use this Empire route rather than a Republic video.

  5. The second elevator on Korriban won't move?

The first lift rises after you STEP ON AND WAIT. The second FREIGHT ELEVATOR does not move automatically: RIGHT-CLICK THE SMALL BLUE BUTTON to activate it. This distinction is shown in original screenshots.

  6. Find Darok, Arkous or Gorima points to a locked Manaan door?

The actual next objective is a BLUE-GLOWING COMPUTER at the BACK OF THE ROOM with the locked door, behind nearby enemies. Interact with the computer to open the lower genetics lab. Later interact with Rakata Techbase Terminal 1 AND 2.

  7. How do I survive Ortuno's electric floor in Depths of Manaan?

Keep a safe side of the room clear. Step away from the WATER PUDDLES after FLOW expands them and BEFORE ENERGY ERUPTION ends. Reddit's older Master Mode tanking discussion emphasizes not filling every safe part of the floor; the Story version is less punishing but uses the same visual tell.

  8. Why does Stivastin barely take damage?

Move STIVASTIN INTO THE ORANGE FIRE CIRCLE to remove its strong resistance/shield. In Story Mode use the KOLTO TANKS around the room for healing. Do not burn your Juggernaut burst abilities while the boss is shielded.

  9. Legacy of the Rakata's weapon caches are missing?

The RAKATA WEAPON CACHES are SMALL BLUE-GLOWING CRATES displayed on the local mission map. You must RIGHT-CLICK the containers; simply killing nearby enemies doesn't complete the objective.

  10. I killed Arkous and Darok and can't finish the quest?

Look closely at the GREEN COMPUTER and click its TINY BLUE BUTTON. That post-fight interaction completes Legacy of the Rakata. If the usual blue exit pillar is absent, use the nearby SHUTTLE or EXIT AREA.

  11. Can I leave a Story Flashpoint to visit my stronghold?

Players report that leaving a story Flashpoint to go to a stronghold, PvP or another instance may reset their combat progress. Avoid leaving during a long run. The OVERARCHING quest and INSTANCE progress are different and shouldn't be confused.

Important routing and progression notes

Combat: use a healing companion when available, interrupt dangerous enemy channels and use the defensive abilities suitable for your Combat Style in boss encounters. Some scripted chapters temporarily change companions or playable characters.

MISSION 01 / 03 · Story mission

Forged Alliances: Part I

Complete first ASSAULT ON TYTHON with Major Imos, Liam Dentiri and Master Oric Tralless; return to Darth Arkous; then complete KORRIBAN INCURSION second with Master Riilna, R9-XR Siege Droid and Commander Jensyn.

Start

At Vaiken Spacedock find A7-M1 near the WEST ELEVATOR. Ride that lift to Outbound Mission Hangar; enter Darth Arkous's GREEN STORY DOOR to meet Arkous and Lana Beniko.

Finish

Debrief with Darth Arkous after Korriban, then go to the CENTRAL FLEET CANTINA. Speak to LANA BENIKO and use the BLUE BOTTLE she indicates on the bar to trigger the next story stage.

The route to follow

Active purple story mission Imperial Fleet Outbound Mission Hangar; Tython Jedi Temple; Korriban Sith Academy Forged Alliances: Part I Next story handoff
  1. Fleet: find A7-M1

In the Imperial Fleet Vaiken Spacedock look by the WESTERN ELEVATOR for purple-quest droid A7-M1. If it lacks a purple quest, check that Ilum and Makeb have both finished and you're eligible for the Prelude.

  2. Find Darth Arkous's green door

Take the WEST ELEVATOR down to OUTBOUND MISSION HANGAR. Ignore the separate repeatable Flashpoint droids and enter DARTH ARKOUS'S GREEN STORY PHASE. Meet Arkous and Lana Beniko.

  3. 01 · Assault on Tython entrance

Exit Arkous's room and walk SOUTH in the hangar to the ASSAULT ON TYTHON entry, beside droid T8X-4. Select/enter the quest-linked [STORY] instance while Forged Alliances: Part I says to do so.

  4. Tython: defeat Major Imos

Follow the mission route toward the Jedi Temple. Defeat MAJOR IMOS and the associated small enemies; avoid ground danger indicators. This is the Imperial boss, not Major Travik (Republic).

  5. Tython: Liam Dentiri and droids

Continue into the next phase to confront LIAM DENTIRI. When he disappears, defeat the spawned droids; wait until he reappears and attack again. Repeat until the boss objective clears.

  6. Tython: enter the Jedi Temple

Use the local map to reach the JEDI TEMPLE entrance rather than pursuing Master-Mode-only bonus commander objectives. Heal at encounter medstations if needed.

  7. Tython: Master Oric Tralless

In the final battle, dodge repeated PURPLE ground circles. When MASTER ORIC TRALLESS channels UNTOLD KNOWLEDGE at a DATACRON, TARGET AND DESTROY THE DATACRON before the cast completes; otherwise he buffs and heals.

  8. Tython: exit and report

Once the Flashpoint's final objective is credited, use the EXIT AREA control or exit interactable; RETURN TO DARTH ARKOUS through his Outbound Mission Hangar green phase for the mandatory next briefing.

  9. 02 · Korriban Incursion entrance

After Arkous updates Forged Alliances: Part I, exit his chamber and walk SOUTH to KORRIBAN INCURSION. Confirm the matching [STORY] quest. The manual mode droid is K3-F7; don't queue a random Veteran instance.

  10. Korriban: four commander groups

After the Korriban arrival, defeat all FOUR required GROUND FORCE COMMANDER groups. The next encounter is not complete if the counter still shows 3/4; one commander can be partly hidden behind the stone wall at a turn.

  11. Korriban: Master Riilna

Fight MASTER RIILNA at the first boss position; if the encounter is difficult, defeat the accompanying beasts early.

  12. Korriban: two different elevators

After Riilna, ride the FIRST ordinary lift by stepping on and waiting. The SECOND FREIGHT ELEVATOR rises only when you RIGHT-CLICK ITS BLUE BUTTON; don't stand on it waiting for an automatic ascent.

  13. Korriban: prisoners and R9-XR

Continue after the Lt./Sergeant Tarsten story encounter. Fight the R9-XR SIEGE DROID and move away from RED floor circles. Choose the prisoner's story option if prompted; this is not a navigation gate.

  14. Korriban: turn off laser barrier

After R9-XR, find the SMALL BLUE TERMINAL directly in front of the RED LASER GATE and RIGHT-CLICK it. The gate does not open just because its guard was defeated.

  15. Korriban: Commander Jensyn

Enter the Sith Academy's final arena, defeat COMMANDER JENSYN and avoid red attack circles. Imperial Jensyn is the opposite-faction version of Darth Soverus.

  16. Korriban: click completion terminal

After Jensyn, RIGHT-CLICK THE TERMINAL to secure the Sith Academy. Then use the GLOWING BLUE EXIT PILLAR (or EXIT AREA) to return; killing the boss alone does not finish the terminal task.

  17. Return to Arkous and Lana

RETURN TO DARTH ARKOUS. When Part I closes, travel to the FLEET CANTINA IN THE CENTER OF VAIKEN SPACEDOCK; speak to LANA BENIKO and use the BLUE BOTTLE on the counter when prompted.

Cannot find the objective?

Empire = Assault on Tython FIRST, then Korriban Incursion SECOND. If the story won't credit completion, confirm BOTH Forged Alliances: Part I and [STORY] Flashpoint are active, and return to ARKOUS after EACH Flashpoint. Re-summon support droid via blue tracker icon or Mission Items. Korriban's second lift is a clickable BLUE BUTTON, not a platform you wait on.

Other activities: Optional combat and bonus tasks are not required unless the active primary mission explicitly requests them.

Mission or chapter sequence and named settings are researched from the cited mission task record where provided. Descriptions identify real task names and phase changes; unverified left-right turns are deliberately not invented.

MISSION 02 / 03 · Story mission

Forged Alliances: Part II

Complete the story-linked DEPTHS OF MANAAN Flashpoint: shut down security grid, defeat Sairisi, unlock lower lab, use both Rakata Techbase terminals, defeat Ortuno and Stivastin, exit, and report to Lana.

Start

After Arkous, speak to Lana Beniko in the CENTRAL VAIKEN SPACEDOCK CANTINA, then take the story's route to MANAAN and enter Lana's separate GREEN CONVERSATION ROOM in the southern hallway.

Finish

Speak to LANA BENIKO in her MANAAN meeting area after escaping. Finish Part II and accept the meeting/Part III conversation for Rakata Prime.

The route to follow

Active purple story mission Vaiken Fleet Cantina; Manaan southern corridor; Underwater Genetics Lab Forged Alliances: Part II Next story handoff
  1. Finish Lana's cantina contact

After Part I, meet LANA BENIKO at the central Imperial Fleet Cantina. Complete her conversation, including the prompted BLUE BOTTLE interaction. Follow the Manaan travel directive.

  2. Fly or shuttle to Manaan

Use the story SHUTTLE PASS when offered or the Fury GALAXY MAP to reach MANAAN. Once there, don't mistake the aquatic visitor terminal for the personal story door.

  3. Manaan: meet Lana first

Walk SOUTH through the Manaan corridors and enter LANA BENIKO'S GREEN STORY CONVERSATION PHASE. Finish her briefing before launching the Flashpoint.

  4. Find Depths of Manaan entrance

Leave the meeting room and continue SOUTH through the hallway to the DEPTHS OF MANAAN FLASHPOINT DOOR. Enter the story-linked mode with Forged Alliances: Part II still showing the named task.

  5. Reach security hub

Inside the UNDERWATER GENETICS LAB, move through corridors to the SECURITY HUB and shut down the SECURITY GRID using the required terminal.

  6. Sairisi: switch attack targets

At SECURITY COMMANDER SAIRISI, his BLUE SHIELD means attack his accompanying DROIDS. When the droids gain shields, attack SAIRISI instead. Dodge their straight blue-line attacks.

  7. Capture hub terminal

When Sairisi is defeated, CLICK THE SECURITY HUB TERMINAL; defeating him alone does not advance this quest interaction.

  8. Unlock the lower lab

If the tracker vaguely says FIND DAROK, ARKOUS OR GORIMA, head to the room with the LOCKED DOOR and fight through to the BACK. Activate the GLOWING BLUE COMPUTER there to unlock the lower laboratory.

  9. Activate Rakata terminals 1 and 2

Look for the TWO HORIZONTAL, BLUE-GLOWING RAKATA TECHBASE TERMINALS in the later lab rooms behind enemies. UPLINK WITH TERMINAL 1 and TERMINAL 2 as separate required actions.

  10. Ortuno: avoid electrified water

At KEEPER ORTUNO, move away from the WATER PUDDLES he places on the floor. They grow during FLOW; when ENERGY ERUPTION finishes, anyone in the enlarged puddles can be stunned or electrocuted.

  11. Escape after Ortuno

Continue along the lab escape route when the objective changes. Do not stop to fight the M2-Aux Foreman, which is a MASTER-MODE-ONLY bonus encounter.

  12. Stivastin: move boss into fire

Fight STIVASTIN SPECIMEN #71 at the exit arena. He takes little damage until moved into an ORANGE FIRE CIRCLE on the ground. Guide him into the fire to strip his shield; avoid wasting cooldowns while protected.

  13. Use escape terminal

After Stivastin, RIGHT-CLICK THE GLOWING BLUE ESCAPE TERMINAL. Then use the blinking exit pillar or EXIT AREA. Optional loot crates outside the lab do not replace the story escape objective.

  14. Return to Lana on Manaan

RETURN TO LANA BENIKO'S MANAAN STORY AREA, not to the Flashpoint entrance. Complete her closing dialogue to move from Forged Alliances: Part II to Part III.

Cannot find the objective?

On Manaan the LANA STORY MEETING ROOM and DEPTHS OF MANAAN STORY FLASHPOINT DOOR are separate SOUTH-HALLWAY doors. After SAIRISI, click the small TERMINAL and then the GLOWING BLUE COMPUTER at the BACK of the otherwise locked-door room to unlock lower labs. ORTUNO electrifies his puddles during ENERGY ERUPTION; leave them BEFORE the cast ends. STIVASTIN must be brought into an ORANGE FIRE CIRCLE to remove his damage resistance.

Other activities: Optional combat and bonus tasks are not required unless the active primary mission explicitly requests them.

Mission or chapter sequence and named settings are researched from the cited mission task record where provided. Descriptions identify real task names and phase changes; unverified left-right turns are deliberately not invented.

MISSION 03 / 03 · Story mission

Forged Alliances: Part III

On Rakata Prime defeat Savage War Beast and War Chief Rehkta, interact with Rakata Weapon Caches, defeat Commander Rand, confront Darth Arkous and Colonel Darok, and operate the green completion computer.

Start

Finish Lana's Part III story meeting, then on VAIKEN SPACEDOCK ride the WEST ELEVATOR to OUTBOUND MISSION HANGAR and use the LEGACY OF THE RAKATA story entrance (manual mode droid L3-R3).

Finish

Use the small BLUE BUTTON ON THE GREEN COMPUTER after the final fight, leave through the glowing pillar, shuttle or Exit Area, then finish Lana and Theron's final Prelude conversations. The next campaign begins on Rishi.

The route to follow

Active purple story mission Lana's secluded story meeting; Imperial Fleet Outbound Mission Hangar; Rakata Prime Forged Alliances: Part III Next story handoff
  1. Meet Lana for Part III

After completing Part II, take the offered mission to the SECLUDED MEETING LOCATION and speak to LANA BENIKO to begin Forged Alliances: Part III. Finish the story scene.

  2. Find Legacy of the Rakata door

Follow the updated objective to the IMPERIAL FLEET and ride VAIKEN SPACEDOCK'S WEST ELEVATOR down to OUTBOUND MISSION HANGAR. The story-linked LEGACY OF THE RAKATA door is near the L3-R3 droid.

  3. Confirm the correct mission mode

Verify BOTH Forged Alliances: Part III and [STORY] Flashpoint: Legacy of the Rakata in the log. If missing, L3-R3 can supply the [Start Story Mode] replay, but the replay alone does not substitute for the purple overarching quest.

  4. Rakata Prime: follow beach route

Enter the Flashpoint and follow the local Rakata Prime map from the landing beach through the jungle toward the Temple of the Ancients; stay with the one-time mission objectives rather than Master Mode bonus enemies.

  5. Defeat Savage War Beast and Rehkta

Fight the SAVAGE WAR BEAST rancor and WAR CHIEF REHKTA. Step out of FIRE on the ground; use Story Mode medstations as needed.

  6. Collect Rakata Weapon Caches

Find the RAKATA WEAPON CACHES marked on the internal map. They are BLUE-GLOWING CRATES you must RIGHT-CLICK; defeating nearby Rakata enemies does not count as collecting them.

  7. Skip Master Mode bonus prototype

INFINITE ARMY PROTOTYPE is a MASTER-MODE BONUS boss. You do not need its bonus objective for the purple Story Mode route.

  8. Fight Commander Rand

At COMMANDER RAND, dodge his RED GROUND CIRCLES. You can maneuver the smaller enemies into those circles to burn them; focus on required encounter progression.

  9. Enter the temple for Arkous and Darok

Continue to the final Temple of the Ancients section. Defeat COLONEL DAROK AND DARTH ARKOUS together, staying mobile around their arena attacks.

  10. Complete the green computer

IMPORTANT: After Arkous and Darok are defeated, look for the TINY BLUE BUTTON on a GREEN COMPUTER and RIGHT-CLICK it. The story guide notes this interaction is required before the Flashpoint will count as finished.

  11. Leave the Rakata Prime phase

Use the GLOWING EXIT PILLAR. If it does not spawn, use the nearby SHUTTLE or EXIT AREA; do not restart the instance before checking the computer objective.

  12. Complete Lana and Theron's conversations

Return to the Part III contact and complete the concluding LANA BENIKO / THERON SHAN story scene. Confirm the overarching Forged Alliances quest closes.

  13. Continue to Rishi

Once Forged Alliances: Part III is COMPLETE, follow your next purple quest to the SHADOW OF REVAN campaign on RISHI. Do not assume simply clearing a repeatable Rakata Flashpoint has unlocked it.

Cannot find the objective?

Legacy of the Rakata requires BOTH Forged Alliances: Part III and the [STORY] FLASHPOINT task. A solo repeatable alone does not advance the prelude. If the Rakata Prime exit is missing, use the nearby SHUTTLE or EXIT AREA. AFTER DAROK/ARKOUS, click the TINY BLUE BUTTON ON THE GREEN COMPUTER or the Flashpoint may remain incomplete.

Other activities: Optional combat and bonus tasks are not required unless the active primary mission explicitly requests them.

Mission or chapter sequence and named settings are researched from the cited mission task record where provided. Descriptions identify real task names and phase changes; unverified left-right turns are deliberately not invented.
