The Sith Inquisitor class story uses Talos Drellik to explore archaeology, heritage management and patronage. IDS separates the official Holonet background and missions from the ethical and anthropological questions raised by this companion's place in the Sith Empire.

Background and family history
Talos Drellik is a scholarly officer associated with the Imperial Reclamation Service, an organization dedicated to the recovery and study of old Sith objects, tombs and records. Unlike a Sith Lord who claims ancestral authority through personal power, Talos works through documentary, material and interpretive expertise. His optimism and intense interest in the past complicate the assumption that all Imperial officials hold their positions only through fear or aggression.

Role in the Origin Story
The Sith Inquisitor's need for ancient artifacts brings Talos's professional expertise directly into struggles among Sith elites. Excavations and identification of materials may require specialized methods that a powerful Force user lacks. But the ultimate control of findings remains a political question: artifacts recovered in the name of the Empire can become resources for one claimant's personal rise.
03 · Companion research
Gameplay after joining the crew
Talos Drellik is associated with the original Sith Inquisitor Origin Story, not an interchangeable companion unlocked identically for every class. To experience the original recruitment context, follow the relevant class missions and companion conversations before later shared expansions. Romance dialogue, alignment-dependent scenes and subsequent Alliance status must be verified in that playthrough. The publisher's archived stat lists and crafting bonuses describe early SWTOR systems and should not be offered as current combat or gift recommendations.
04 · Companion research
Background and cultural interpretation
Talos is a natural subject for archaeological ethics. The ability to recover an artifact does not establish that the excavator or state owns it, and a royal tomb is not an empty container without significance for later communities. His enthusiasm for scholarship should be recognized without erasing the Reclamation Service's imperial sponsorship. The dossier separates methods of studying material remains from the political purposes to which recovered objects are put.
