How to jump into this adventure
Where to pick up the story
If you are catching up, begin with the Ossus story arc, Jedi Under Siege, before the Onslaught campaign. The original 6.0 patch notes specifically direct uncaught-up players to Ossus. Returning players should use the Eras Window to locate the right starting mission.
The main campaign route
The major story route follows renewed Republic–Empire conflict on Onderon and Mek-Sha before the conflict around Corellia and the Objective Meridian Flashpoint. Story choices and faction position affect the presentation. The release also changed gear systems, but those 2019 rules should not be read as current character-build advice.
Useful before you play
Useful for players who want to revisit faction politics after the Alliance era. Follow the main story markers and distinguish the solo narrative from repeatable or group modes of the related Flashpoint. Your character's earlier choices may alter conversations.
For the exact next mission on your character, open the Eras Window introduced in Game Update 7.7. Official Eras Window and Mission Log details · Official expansion information. Current UI, availability, and chapter requirements can differ from the original expansion launches.

Play this expansion in order
Before you begin
Finish Jedi Under Siege on Ossus before starting Onslaught. In the original 6.0 launch, players who had not caught up were explicitly directed to Ossus first.
- Onderon and Mek-Sha
Follow the renewed war through the faction-specific missions on these two worlds.
- Corellia and Objective Meridian
Continue to the story-linked Objective Meridian Flashpoint, choosing the mission-driven version when available.
- Echoes of Oblivion
After Onslaught, follow the mystery of Satele Shan, Kira Carsen and Scourge in this major Emperor-related continuation.
- Spirit of Vengeance and Secrets of the Enclave
Play the Mandalorian Spirit of Vengeance storyline and the subsequent Dantooine Secrets of the Enclave story before beginning Legacy of the Sith.
What comes after
Proceed to the 7.0 Legacy of the Sith Manaan story after the post-Onslaught missions. The 6.0 era also includes optional endgame systems that need not interrupt the narrative.
What is optional, not part of the required storyline?
Dxun's Nature of Progress Operation and repeatable PvP, Flashpoints and gearing activities are not required to understand the main 6.x campaign.
Story order checked against the 2026 solo story guide and publisher story and update information. Check the Eras Window for the next mission on your character.
Onslaught returns the galaxy's political center of gravity toward the Republic–Sith Empire conflict, after the Alliance's shared struggle against Zakuul. Onderon and Mek-Sha reveal local political environments altered by the renewed war.
01 · Expansion analysis
Historical starting point
The collapse of the Alliance's military advantage and rising bilateral conflict follow the Eternal Empire era. Republic and Imperial authorities again seek to direct the former Outlander's power. The same character who once led an independent coalition may face pressure to endorse a state they previously fought or to act as a saboteur from within.
02 · Expansion analysis
Campaign story and faction perspectives
On Onderon, the Republic's local ties become entangled with intrigue and factions inside the planetary elite. Mek-Sha turns a mined-out asteroid into a crossroads of refugees, traders, pirates and mercenaries. The campaign ultimately reaches Corellia, where the Meridian shipyard and its military utility become strategically decisive.
03 · Expansion analysis
How to play and how rules changed
Official 6.0 patch notes describe the Onderon, Mek-Sha and Objective Meridian stories. The expansion continued the faction-facing narrative and introduced extensive system changes. Its launch-era gear systems, set bonuses and other balance decisions do not by themselves describe the current game.
04 · Expansion analysis
What the expansion adds to Legends society
Onderon's formal alliances should not be treated as a transparent expression of every resident's loyalty. Mek-Sha is equally useful for thinking about informal government: a place presented as lawless nevertheless depends on workers, trade systems and rules imposed by powerful actors. Local communities are not empty stages on which the two governments compete.
05 · Expansion analysis
Anthropological assessment
Onslaught is a study of the political limits of wartime alliance. Once an extraordinary common enemy disappears, former partners may reorganize around older interests. The story also shows how places are classified as 'strategic assets' by distant capitals despite having their own histories, populations and forms of authority.
