How to jump into this adventure
Where to pick up the story
Continue the post-Onslaught story through the live mission path to Legacy of the Sith's Manaan storyline. The publisher describes separate Republic and Imperial perspectives on Manaan. Do not start from a 2022 level requirement without checking the current Eras Window and entitlement state.
The main campaign route
Begin with the Manaan story, then continue to Elom for the Ruins of Nul Flashpoint and the later Sith and Mandalorian updates in the order offered by your Eras Window. Game Update 7.9, Legacy Reborn (June 2, 2026), ended this era at Khar Shian and Naga Sadow's hidden fortress. The later 8.0 Masters of the Force era was announced, but it is not a playable chapter of Legacy of the Sith.
Useful before you play
Complete the Manaan and Ruins of Nul story path before pursuing later Sith and Mandalorian chapters. The 7.9 finale includes a brief motion-sensitive sequence that can be skipped without missing critical story moments. For current progression, use the Eras Window. Do not mistake the announced 8.0 era for an already released expansion.
For the exact next mission on your character, open the Eras Window introduced in Game Update 7.7. Official Eras Window and Mission Log details · Official expansion information. Current UI, availability, and chapter requirements can differ from the original expansion launches.

Play this expansion in order
Before you begin
Play Onslaught, Objective Meridian, Echoes of Oblivion, Spirit of Vengeance and Secrets of the Enclave first for narrative continuity.
- Manaan and Elom
Start the Legacy of the Sith campaign on Manaan, then complete the Ruins of Nul Flashpoint on Elom through the story mission.
- The continuing 7.x story
Follow Digging Deeper, Ruhnuk, Voss's Interpreter's Retreat, Kessan's Landing and the subsequent Mandalorian and Sith chapters as offered by the main story track.
- Pursuit of Ruin and Master's Enigma
Continue through the 7.8 and 7.8.1 storyline updates before attempting the 7.9 finale.
- Legacy Reborn, Game Update 7.9
Finish the Legacy of the Sith story at Khar Shian and Naga Sadow's hidden fortress. This finale released June 2, 2026.
What comes after
Masters of the Force (8.0) is the announced next era, featuring Galaxy in Chaos and Ryloth. As of October 13, 2026, its preview and Public Test Server content should not be presented as a live story chapter.
What is optional, not part of the required storyline?
Operations, gearing systems, Ventures and repeatable encounters are separate from the main story. Do not assume every activity introduced in the 7.x cycle is a required mission.
Story order checked against the 2026 solo story guide and publisher story and update information. Check the Eras Window for the next mission on your character.
Legacy of the Sith begins with an Imperial effort to seize Manaan's kolto and an investigation of Darth Malgus that takes players toward forgotten Sith sites, while Game Update 7.0 substantially reorganizes character combat progression.
01 · Expansion analysis
Historical starting point
The war's renewed intensity puts the neutral world's medically critical kolto supply under military pressure. Manaan's status as a supplier to multiple sides creates an evident conflict between state security goals and the survival of injured or sick people. The expansion also follows questions about Malgus's plans and his attraction to buried Sith knowledge.
02 · Expansion analysis
Campaign story and faction perspectives
The official launch notes identify Manaan as a major story location and Elom as the site of a lost Sith fortress. The initial 7.0 release is one stage of a continuing narrative; subsequent updates expand the plot and should not be retroactively described as fully contained in the launch chapter. The material connects back to the broader Sith tradition through ruins, historical records and institutions seeking to monopolize them.
03 · Expansion analysis
How to play and how rules changed
Game Update 7.0 formally distinguished Origin Stories, which govern background and narrative, from Combat Styles, which define combat abilities. The patch notes describe changes to loadouts, level progression and ability trees. Guides must separate those dated rules from later patch adjustments, and must not imply every account has the same entitlements.
04 · Expansion analysis
What the expansion adds to Legends society
Kolto makes health infrastructure into a target of military competition. A state that captures a supplier may influence treatment far outside the battlefield. Sith archaeology supplies a parallel issue: a powerful political actor can interpret and extract a past civilization's objects in pursuit of present legitimacy or weaponry.
05 · Expansion analysis
Anthropological assessment
Legacy of the Sith combines medical political economy with contestation over sacred antiquity. Both kolto and Sith relics can be treated as commodities or state resources by powerful actors, even when other communities understand them through survival, identity and stewardship.
