LIVE 7.9 · LEVEL 80IMPERIAL ENTRANCE5 BOSS ENCOUNTERS

01 · FIND THE INSTANCE

How to get to the Imperial Operation entrance

Vaiken Spacedock → Ziost Shadow Mission Deck (NORTH SIDE) → Belsavis Operations Hangar → General Threnoldt → entrance on the RIGHT → escape pod.

Available modes: Story Mode and Veteran Mode only. Eternity Vault does NOT have a currently available Master Mode. Requires an Operations group and subscription.

  1. 01

    Find the Imperial entrance

On VAIKEN SPACEDOCK, locate the access to the ZIOST SHADOW capital ship; go to its MISSION DECK, NORTH SIDE. Find the BELSAVIS OPERATIONS HANGAR and talk to GENERAL THRENOLDT if you want the story briefing.

  2. 02

    Use the correct door

The entrance into Eternity Vault is on the RIGHT SIDE of the Imperial Belsavis Operations Hangar. You need an Operations group and a subscribed account, not a solo Flashpoint or unrelated Belsavis purple planet quest.

  3. 03

    Escape pod before combat

On entering, RIGHT-CLICK the GLOWING BLUE ESCAPE POD to travel down to the Belsavis surface. Then reach the snowy ramp but STOP until the tank and group are assembled. The first cannon pair can aggro from a surprising distance.

  5. 0505 · Inner Sanctum → Infernal Council
  6. 0606 · Lower platforms → Soa the Infernal One

ENCOUNTER 01 / 05 · Belsavis surface; snowy ramp and defense gate

Annihilation Droid XRR-3

How you reach this boss: After using the blue Escape Pod, group at the foot of the snow ramp. First defeat two Perimeter Defense Cannons.

  1. 01

    Destroy cannon power cells

Find the POWER CELLS at the BASE of both Perimeter Defense Cannons and destroy them. Finish either cannon with an ordinary hit if it remains alive.

  2. 02

    Hold at the gate

After both guns fall, the Annihilation Droid enters near the sealed prison gate. Let your tank pull and FACE IT AWAY from the group, preferably with the tank backed toward a corner.

  3. 03

    Move for Storm Protocols

When the droid marks the ground with RED CIRCLES during STORM PROTOCOLS, spread and step out before the explosions; don't carry your marker into another player.

  4. 04

    Group for Missile Salvo

When it prepares MISSILE SALVO, regroup BEHIND the droid for group healing; use a defensive if the healers request it.

  5. 05

    Reposition after Shockwave

SHOCKWAVE can stun and OVERWHELMING SWIPE knocks nearby people away. Return safely behind the boss instead of charging into another warning circle.

Story Mode: Story Mode: survive the missiles and dodge red Storm Protocols circles; simple positioning matters more than a perfect rotation.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: same core mechanics with higher incoming damage, so tank aggro and group healing for Missile Salvo matter more.

Stuck here? Boss not appearing? Destroy BOTH Perimeter Defense Cannons. They can be left at low health if only their power cells were hit.

Next encounter: Gharj →

ENCOUNTER 02 / 05 · Prison Block bridge → clawed-out cell → lava cave

Gharj

How you reach this boss: After XRR-3, the big gate remains shut until the group opens eight EXPOSED WIRINGS.

  1. 01

    Click eight gate wires

At the large gate immediately behind the droid, find and RIGHT-CLICK ALL EIGHT EXPOSED WIRINGS to open it. Defeating the boss alone does not unseal the Prison Block.

  2. 02

    Cross Prison Block safely

Follow the normal prison walkways; probe droids can knock players into the chasm. Locate the EMPTY CELL with claw marks and a hole torn through its wall—this opens the GHARJ LAVA CAVE.

  3. 03

    Stay on the platform

The tank pulls Gharj toward a LONG TIP of the current stone island, while DPS and healers stay behind with enough room not to be thrown directly into lava.

  4. 04

    Watch island tremors

When GHARJ FRENZIES and the CURRENT ISLAND SHAKES, jump across the rock platforms to the NEW STABLE ISLAND with your team. Do not jump only because you see a new island; bugs can make the new one sink instead.

  5. 05

    Kill Firestalkers

At later health thresholds, FIRESTALKER lava creatures join. Tank picks up the adds; damage players clear them while moving safely to the next platform.

Story Mode: Story: the floor-jumping sequence, lava and knockback are the danger; follow the raid leader's island path.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: Frenzy jumps deal substantially more damage even though the platform navigation is broadly the same.

Stuck here? Players have reported a bug where the NEW island shakes instead of the old one. Watch which island actually trembles before leaping; avoid the lava fall.

Next encounter: Ancient Pylons →

ENCOUNTER 03 / 05 · Jungle fork; one Pylon NORTH, one SOUTH

Ancient Pylons

How you reach this boss: After Gharj head EAST through the next cave and jungle; avoid Manka Cat packs, then split the raid to the NORTH and SOUTH PYLON sites.

  1. 01

    Divide into two teams

Place roughly half the players at the NORTH PYLON and half at the SOUTH PYLON. Each side must progress through the same row; one completed side alone will not finish.

  2. 02

    Identify left and right keypads

At each pylon the LEFT and RIGHT KEYPADS rotate the CENTRAL COLORED WHEEL. Compare its middle symbol to the fixed color symbols on the sides.

  3. 03

    Rotate until a row matches

CLICK the selected LEFT or RIGHT KEYPAD until all three colors/symbols match in the active row. Communicate with the other team's keypad operator.

  4. 04

Lock the row with center confirmation

Use the CONFIRMATION CONSOLE to lock a correct row. Both North and South teams must lock the same row before the next appears.

  5. 05

    Protect keypad operators

Defeat the waves of adds, especially dangerous large enemies, while your assigned clicker completes the puzzle. If the timer expires the fight resets.

Story Mode: Story: coordinate two pylon teams and their confirmation consoles; tell the other side when a row is finished.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: same two-team communication but a tighter-feeling add-control check and more incoming damage.

Stuck here? Stuck with aligned colors? You still must use the CONFIRMATION CONSOLE, and the OTHER TEAM must finish that same row. If the puzzle resets, coordinate clicks rather than trying to rush one side.

Next encounter: Infernal Council →

ENCOUNTER 04 / 05 · Inner Sanctum beyond the pylon loot area

Infernal Council

How you reach this boss: After BOTH pylons solve, follow the tunnel into the INNER SANCTUM and stop before the BLUE START TERMINAL.

  1. 01

    Assign one opponent per player

The room contains LORDS, MARAUDERS and ASSASSINS. Tanks often take Lords, damage dealers take Marauders, and healers take Assassins. Every player should know their own target.

  2. 02

    Stand by your duel target

Do not click the start console while half the group is running through the room. Assign all fights and have each player ready beside their own enemy.

  3. 03

    Use blue terminal to begin

RIGHT-CLICK the BLUE TERMINAL in the front of the room to start. Attack only your assigned enemy; a GREEN LINK can indicate which opponent belongs to you.

  4. 04

    Avoid helping other players

During the duel, attacking an ally's opponent or healing an ally can trigger PENALTY OF DESTINY, severely limiting what you can contribute. Avoid broad AoE or splash attacks hitting adjacent duels.

  5. 05

    Finish your own duel

For VENGEANCE JUGGERNAUT focus your assigned MARAUDER; save an interrupt/defensive as needed. Wait for the other solo fights to finish before continuing.

Story Mode: Story: separate one-on-one fights. Players may fight different classes of Council opponent based on raid assignments.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: broadly the same one-player-per-opponent restriction, but higher damage makes defensive timing and correct assignments more important.

Stuck here? Why can't you deal damage? Check PENALTY OF DESTINY after helping another player. Don't spam group heals or splash attacks across other duels.

Next encounter: Soa, the Infernal One →

ENCOUNTER 05 / 05 · Final chamber; three descending concentric-ring floors

Soa, the Infernal One

How you reach this boss: Continue from the Council through the INNER SANCTUM to Soa's arena. Keep the group behind the doorway until the raid leader is ready.

  1. 01

    Prepare at the doorway

Stop BEFORE entering the arena. Soa may aggro as someone crosses the threshold. Orient toward the WEST / ENTRANCE SIDE (roughly 9 o'clock on the outer ring).

  2. 02

    Fight to the first shield

Attack Soa when vulnerable and avoid green energy puddles beside obelisks. As Soa nears 75% health, stop standing on the inner rings.

  3. 03

    Take the WEST outer ring

When Soa SHIELDS at about 75% and the inner floor collapses, move to the WEST OUTER RING by the entrance. WAIT for the next platform to form before jumping; premature jumps cause deaths.

  4. 04

    Descend as a group

Jump down one PLATFORM at a time, pause for healer recovery, and DESTROY ANCIENT POWER SOURCES visible along the descent. Avoid entering the lava or skipping platforms.

  5. 05

    Free allies from Mind Traps

At the lower battle area, watch for MIND TRAPS and destroy them promptly. BALL LIGHTNING pursues marked players; those players should take it away from teammates.

  6. 06

    Repeat platform descent as scripted

Soa shields again for further floor transitions. Re-form near the correct outer edge and follow the team down, waiting for every platform and destroying nearby power sources.

  7. 07

Break Soa's shield with a falling pylon

In the bottom arena Soa cannot simply be burned through his shield. The tank positions Soa UNDER the marker for a FALLING PYLON / COLUMN. When it crashes and strips the shield, everyone damages him until it returns. Repeat until defeated.

Story Mode: Story: communicate the falling-platform route and pylon shield break; the visual floor cues matter more than the displayed boss health alone.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: damage and overlapping orb/mind-trap mechanics demand more coordination. A 2024 Reddit report describes sometimes invisible falling pylons in Veteran; use the boss positioning cue and ceiling view, and avoid assuming the pillar is there when it is not.

Stuck here? If no damage registers in the final arena, SOA IS SHIELDED: the tank must bait a FALLING PYLON onto him. A 2024 Reddit user reported pillars appearing after looking UP during the preceding platform phase; that is a player workaround, not guaranteed.

Common raid problems and how players solved them

Player reports are not guaranteed fixes for every game version. These answers link to their source so readers can check the original context.

My Operation is not in Group Finder. Is it gone?

No. Group Finder can show a ROTATING selection rather than every Operation at all times. Form or join an Operations group in Fleet/guild chat and enter through the Ziost Shadow Mission Deck. The Op still cannot be completed as a normal solo instance.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

I have the Aratech Nightscythe quest but cannot find XRR-3 or Soa.

Those names are Operation bosses, not ordinary Belsavis surface mobs. XRR-3, Gharj and Soa are inside Eternity Vault, requiring an Operations group and subscriber access.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

Our pylon is solved but the other rows do not appear.

BOTH North and South pylon groups must align and CONFIRM the same row before the next is available. The color alignment alone does not confirm it.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

The Infernal Council fight feels like my damage is broken.

Check for PENALTY OF DESTINY; you can trigger it by attacking someone else's duel target or healing a teammate. Everyone fights their assigned 1v1 opponent.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

Soa seems invulnerable at the bottom. How do we break him?

The tank needs to keep Soa below a FALLING COLUMN so it hits and removes his shield. Then damage him. It's an environmental encounter, not a gear check.

Are missing platform pillars a real issue?

A December 2024 thread documented missing/invisible pillar cues on Veteran, with a player saying to look up during the floor-descent phase. Use the visible ceiling/ground cues cautiously; if the mechanic fails, reset the encounter or follow official support guidance.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

I'm new and worried about slowing down a public group.

An August 2026 Reddit discussion strongly recommended asking for a guild teaching group, telling players that you're new, and starting with Eternity Vault on Story Mode. Public speed groups can assume everyone knows platform jumps.
