Toborro's Courtyard: Golden Fury Operation Walkthrough

Find Toborro's Palace at Makeb's northern Hutt Strongholds, then defeat the enormous Isotope-5 droid Golden Fury. This guide follows the Imperial route, explains the yellow safety lines for Massive Lasers, identifies the isotope canisters, and separates the required battle from old Makeb daily tasks.

How to get to the Imperial Operation entrance

Imperial Fleet Operations Terminal → Makeb → unlock the Imperial Gravity Hook Seven taxi network through the early Hutt Cartel story → Hutt Strongholds, northern Makeb → Toborro's Palace Courtyard entrance.

Available modes: Story and Veteran modes, in eight- or sixteen-player configurations where supported; no Master/Nightmare mode. Subscriber group content. Solo Makeb quests are not this encounter.

  1. 01

Check your weekly but do not follow an unrelated daily

On the Imperial Fleet open the Operations mission terminal and accept [WEEKLY] Toborro's Courtyard if available. Its objective is to defeat GOLDEN FURY. This is distinct from the purple Rise of the Hutt Cartel story and the repeatable Hutt Strongholds area missions.

  2. 02

Reach Makeb and unlock the Imperial taxi route

Travel to MAKEB. For an Imperial character whose map shows no convenient northbound speeder, complete the early Makeb main-story sequence through the GRAVITY HOOK SEVEN network unlock. A group summon or previously unlocked travel point may bypass the long overland approach.

  3. 03

Find the Hutt Strongholds at the north of Makeb

Use the MAKEB WORLD MAP and available taxis to reach the northern HUTT STRONGHOLDS area. The Operation's entrance is at Toborro's palace on the far north of this region, not at the New Government Complex or a random Gravity Hook elevator.

  4. 04

    Group outside the instance

Choose the intended Story or Veteran difficulty before entering. Wait for the entire raid and confirm your healer/tank assignments. This is ONE boss, and the yellow isotope containers and the raised laser-safe platforms will already be visible once inside.

  5. 05

Identify the TWO raised safety platforms

Before starting, look at the steps on either side of the courtyard and find the DOUBLE YELLOW SAFETY LINE behind which players stand during Massive Lasers. Mark these positions so no one tries to hide behind an unrelated wall when the siren starts.

ENCOUNTER 01 / 01 · Toborro's Palace Courtyard, raised steps and yellow safety lines

Golden Fury (Toborro's Glittering Fury Mark II)

How you reach this boss: Enter Toborro's Palace courtyard from northern Hutt Strongholds. The single Golden Fury boss is already in the large rectangular arena; identify the steps and the yellow isotope canisters BEFORE the pull.

  1. 01

Tank faces Golden Fury AWAY from the raid

Tank the droid near a stairwell but turn its frontal attacks away from healers and damage players. Keep enough space on both sides so everyone can run onto a raised platform.

  2. 02

Leave the yellow Isotope-5 canisters intact for the tank

The yellow containers near the steps grant a temporary defensive ISOTOPE PROTECTION effect when destroyed. The tank should take the killing blow on an appropriately placed canister. Do not accidentally destroy all of them with large AoE abilities.

  3. 03

WATCH the droid TURN toward the fountain

MASSIVE LASERS is signaled when Golden Fury turns toward the entrance/fountain, flashes red and becomes briefly invulnerable; the audio siren may be late. STOP attacking and head to the steps as soon as you see the boss turn.

  4. 04

Run BEHIND the DOUBLE YELLOW LINE

Everyone must get up onto one of the RAISED PLATFORMS and fully behind its DOUBLE YELLOW LINE. Merely standing on a low object or below the line may still get hit. The beam can be lethal even on Story difficulty.

  5. 05

Return and clear PALACE SECURITY DROIDS

After the massive laser ends, PALACE SECURITY DROIDS spawn between the boss and the fountain. Let the off-tank control them if one is assigned. Damage players switch to adds and INTERRUPT their Isotope-5 Laser casts.

  6. 06

Spread the PURPLE Satellite Strike target

A random non-tank player may gain a PURPLE CIRCLE from SATELLITE STRIKE. Move away from teammates and use a defensive while the repeated orbital blasts resolve. Do not run through healers or toward the add tank.

  7. 07

Tank refreshes Isotope protection at safe opportunities

The temporary protective buff does not last the whole encounter. Tank and healers monitor its duration and reserve an available canister for the next safe refresh, often during the laser phase. Do not scatter the remaining canisters with careless knockbacks.

  8. 08

Repeat safe platform → adds → boss cycle

Continue with disciplined laser retreats and add interruptions. Veteran shortens the reaction time before subsequent laser attacks; pre-position toward the nearby platform instead of trying to cross the whole room late.

  9. 09

    Burn at about TWENTY PERCENT

Around 20% health the fight changes to a sustained RADIATION LEAK damage phase rather than another normal laser cycle. Use remaining offensive cooldowns and raid healing to finish before the enrage.

  10. 10

    Confirm the weekly completion

After Golden Fury dies, inspect the weekly mission in the log. Where directed, turn in via the Operations Dropbox or terminal instead of assuming that the achievement itself collected the weekly reward.

Story Mode: Story: position at the double yellow safety line for each lethal laser. Single-tank strategies can work with appropriate team coordination, but do not let the Palace Security Droids chew through unprepared damage players.

Veteran Mode: Veteran: Massive Laser wind-up becomes faster, the adds are more dangerous and must be interrupted, the Isotope-5 defensive buff matters more, and the nine-minute enrage imposes a real pace check.

Stuck here? If the beam wipes the group, check whether players were BEHIND the DOUBLE YELLOW LINE, not just on the raised steps. If the tank keeps dying, verify someone else did not break every yellow Isotope-5 container before the tank received the defensive buff.

Common raid problems and how players solved them

Player reports are not guaranteed fixes for every game version. These answers link to their source so readers can check the original context.

How do I reach Toborro's Courtyard as an IMPERIAL character?

Go to northern MAKEB, HUTT STRONGHOLDS, Toborro's Palace. The Republic taxi arrives closer than the Imperial route; Imperial players may need to finish early Rise of the Hutt Cartel quests to unlock GRAVITY HOOK SEVEN connections. Group summon is an alternative when available.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

The boss laser killed me despite standing near the steps?

Run UP to the RAISED PLATFORM and cross the DOUBLE YELLOW LINE. The yellow line, not the platform's vague outline or random arena objects, defines the safe space. Start running when the droid TURNS toward the fountain, not when the siren eventually plays.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

Are yellow isotope barrels ordinary destructible decorations?

No. The player who gets the killing blow on an ISOTOPE-5 CONTAINER receives a defensive effect for a limited time. The tank needs these. Do not destroy all the barrels with splash damage.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

Why do adds appear after every laser?

Palace Security Droids spawn behind Golden Fury after the MASSIVE LASER ends. Use a second tank if possible, swap DPS briefly and INTERRUPT Isotope-5 Laser rather than standing through their channels.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

What should the purple circle player do?

SATELLITE STRIKE follows a non-tank player with several hits. Carry the marker AWAY from the group, use a defensive and return once the effect stops. Avoid line-of-sighting your healers while moving.

What changes below 20%?

At roughly TWENTY PERCENT Golden Fury begins RADIATION LEAK damage and the team normally commits to a burn phase. Continue healing the raid and finish promptly rather than waiting for a fresh laser event.

Original discussion or mechanic reference ↗

Is the Courtyard a required Rise of the Hutt Cartel story quest?

No. It is a separate single-boss Operation/weekly requiring an Operations group. You can finish the Imperial Makeb story without killing Golden Fury.
