Legends timeline: 44–140 ABY coverage audit

A dated reading index that distinguishes documented events, sparse records, disputed placements and stories that still need individual coverage.

Official Marvel Legends publication art from Star Wars Legacy Book 1
Published Star Wars: Legacy Book 1 cover, provided as contextual art rather than an image of all events in this audit.

Scope and method: This is an editorial audit of timeline article coverage in the website's repository. It is not a claim that every listed page has been independently verified on the live site. Entries date in-universe fictional events, not comic publication years. Legends is a separate continuity from current Canon. The absence of a published story is not evidence that nothing happened in-world.

44–45 ABY

Covered

Fate of the Jedi, aftermath and Crucible

Coverage note: Several 44 ABY subplots have their own entries. Do not conflate them with postwar events in 45 ABY.

46–91 ABY

Sparse original sources

A long gap in narrative coverage; 55 and 81 ABY reference entries are preserved

Coverage note: No verified year-by-year narrative of the main Skywalker and Solo families is supplied for most of this interval. Invented successions or deaths should not fill the space. Jagged Fel’s restoration of a hereditary Empire belongs to a broad post-44 ABY, pre-127 ABY interval; a precise 45 or 46 ABY coronation is not established. An illustrated Victory Without War and Imperial Mission dossier examines the gradual institutional transition. See the source-gap register.

92–121 ABY

Documented events plus two qualified family milestones

Military technology, archival history, and the Skywalker–Corde household

Coverage note: Sources establish two clear dates and two approximate family milestones, but not a continuous series of annual episodes. Explore the interactive 46–121 ABY evidence map for six intervals that remain undocumented.

122–127 ABY

Key war origins covered

Ossus, political sabotage, the outbreak of war and special episodes

Coverage note: A 128 ABY entry on some external chronologies reflects an ongoing war, not necessarily a discrete dated incident; no unsupported new 128 or 129 ABY episode is supplied.

130–136 ABY

Major turning points covered; limited intervening detail

The coup, the Ossus massacre and a sourcebook mission

Coverage note: Other years, especially 131 and 133–136 ABY, have relatively little discrete published event material. Seven years of war cannot be described as seven continuous years of known battles.

137–140 ABY

Major Legacy narrative covered

Civil war battles, genocide, Krayt's defeat, Wredd and the last comic epilogue

Coverage note: Separate 137 ABY dossiers now cover Borosk, Had Abbadon, and the evacuation of Dac; a 130 ABY dossier covers Caamas. The 137 ABY Battle of Ralltiir, 138 ABY Battle of Borosk, and c. 138 ABY liberation of the Mon Calamari shipyards now have separate dossiers. Vinsoth, Falleen, both Borosk battles, Ralltiir, the Wheel, Daluuj and the initial chapters of Wredd's insurgency are now covered. The Korriban rescue and Utapau mission are now separately documented. The Da Soocha and Napdu atrocities are now documented separately from the Dac genocide. The Agamar negotiations, Sith ambush and later Bastion memorial now have dedicated chapters, as does the Wayland trap. Rogue Squadron's Napdu refugee mission, the ambush on the Alliance Core Fleet and the reconnaissance battle above Dac are now separate 137 ABY entries. Undocumented later events after the Floating World remain under review.

Remaining high-priority research

  1. Battle of Caamas, 130 ABY. A new dedicated dossier now documents Stazi's refusal to surrender. Remaining work: cross-check the earlier Alliance-collapse article to eliminate unnecessary duplication.
  2. Battle of Borosk, 138 ABY. The 137 ABY Joker Squad battle and liberation of Bastion, and the 138 ABY battle, have their own pages. The 138 ABY Rand Ko engagement now has its own dossier. The two Borosk articles must remain distinct and cross-linked.
  3. Had Abbadon, 137 ABY. A dedicated battle page documents Celeste Morne, the Muur Talisman and Krayt's temporary defeat. The separate 138 ABY final confrontation remains linked elsewhere.
  4. Genocide and evacuation of Dac, c. 137 ABY. Separate pages now cover the persecution and rescue. Additional follow-up is needed to check the published disagreement between roughly 20 and 27 percent evacuated.
  5. 138 ABY campaigns and the Taivas intelligence trap. Separate illustrated entries now cover Falleen and the Wheel, with published Legacy—War #2 and #3 references. Vinsoth, Falleen, both Borosk battles, and the Wheel are now independently documented; further campaigns must be checked against the original comic rather than invented.
  6. Late Imperial Civil War, 138 ABY. The Korriban rescue establishes why Draco was later imprisoned. The Utapau raid documents the defeat of Vul Isen and Darth Azard and the prevention of another biological attack. Both are supported by Star Wars: Legacy #49–50.
  7. Source-date correction, Daluuj. The original Legacy #48 assigns the raid to 137 ABY, while the later Extremes collection dates it to 138 ABY. The new dossier discloses both placements rather than silently choosing one.
  8. Darth Wredd's early insurgency. The ambush in the Surd Nebula, Carreras communications-array incident, assassination on Cadomai Prime and Nalyd skirmish now have independent illustrated articles, all placed approximately in 138 ABY.
  9. Agamar, Wayland, and Bastion gap closed. The 137 ABY Fel–Jedi summit, Operation: Thunderstroke and Maladi's Wayland trap each have distinct illustrated dossiers; the 138 ABY remembrance of fallen Imperial Knights is documented from Legacy—War #1. The summit, ambush, memorial and laboratory crisis must not be conflated.
  10. 137 ABY refugee and fleet sequence. The Napdu rescue (Legacy #41), attack on Stazi's Core Fleet (#42) and Rogue Squadron's discovery of Dac's poisoned oceans (#47) now have distinct dossiers. The dogfight is not interchangeable with the subsequent mass evacuation, and the Napdu mission predates the separate attack on Azzim's sanctuary.
  11. 139 ABY institutional change. Empress Marasiah Fel announced reforms to redirect Imperial Knight loyalty toward the light side of the Force rather than her person alone. A distinct article explains the doctrine, Jao Assam’s departure, and source limits from Legacy (2013) #18.
  12. Multi-decade Fel dynasty transition. A new article documents Victory Without War, the Imperial Mission, the hereditary dynasty and the broad founding interval after 44–45 ABY and before 127 ABY. It must remain a process history, not a fictitious discrete 45 ABY coronation.
  13. 46–121 ABY source register. A new interactive page separates four precisely dated research items (55, 81, 92 and 104 ABY), two approximate family dates (c. 115–116 and c. 117 ABY), and six source gaps. It avoids treating creator age estimates as established birth dates or the Fel Empire’s broad founding period as one confirmed coronation year.
  14. Source-date review, 139–140 ABY. Legacy (2013) #18 places the Battle of the Floating World near 139 ABY, then jumps ahead by approximately one year for its closing scenes. The c. 140 ABY epilogue has a separate page, but the comic does not provide a calendar date for it. Treat later claims about a galaxy-wide final extinction of the Sith or an independently depicted 140 ABY campaign as claims requiring a named primary source.
  15. Merge or cross-reference overlapping dossiers. Six confirmed event-level overlaps now share primary canonical destinations while older URLs remain accessible. Continue reviewing 40–44, 122–127 and 139 ABY groups for similarly redundant articles.

Cross-referenced overlapping articles

Six pairs of earlier standalone pages describe the same core events. Alternate URLs remain available for visitors who followed older links. Each now links to a selected primary dossier and names it as the canonical version for search indexing. No original article has been deleted.

Not duplicates: Borosk in 137 and 138 ABY, the genocide and later liberation of the Mon Calamari shipyards, and Had Abbadon versus the final Coruscant battle all have different scenes, participants or outcomes and retain independent pages.

Sources and reading standards

Published narrative comics and novels take priority for specific scenes. Sourcebooks document otherwise undramatized dates and should be cited as sourcebook claims. Compiled fan chronologies are useful finding aids, not replacements for those publications.
